O, Ewes Guys!

...quit making fun of my Brooklyn accent.

"It is madness for sheep to talk peace with a wolf."
--Thomas Fuller
Surah 8 Al-Anfal (The Spoils of War)

8:9 If/When you plead/ed with God (to Intercede) and He Responded (s) to you, indeed He Extended (s) (outspread, expanded, prolonged, protracted) 1,000 Angels 'murdifoon' 'arranged in rank' (but the primary meaning here of 'rdf' is 'buttocks'--and don't be laughing just yet).

'The Lord is My Shepherd' not because I am a sheep (or ewe, whatever the case might be), but because I belong to His 'Fold' (a crash course on Tay-al-Ard is called for a this juncture). And a cut-and-paste illustration might help some, too.

Be cautioned that the 2-dimensional illustration is a bit misleading but is only being used for convenient reference. Misleading in that the figure of the soldier practicing a Military Parachute Landing Fall is doing just that and he is not actually rotating in space. From his perspective he is going through maneuvers, or engaged in battle or doing whatever he is being called on to do.

The soldier is used as the example here because of the use of the word 'murdifin' which does refer to the 'Buttocks', the 4th point of a textbook military parachute landing fall. And while the rest of the illustration is attempting to show the realignment of this Subject to God's Purpose (essentially, the meaning of the word Muslim*), what is actually moving is the Space-Time. Can you tell from this example which way the Plane is Moving (Folded)?

In addition to a novel approach to physics, let's see what this perspective does from the vantage point of the Theatre of War (I'll bet those video games will start looking pretty good about now).

8:11 That Deceptive Somnolence (cheating sleepiness/that blurs makes things vague), a Reassurance (Safety) from Us and the coming down of water (rain, m.a) from the Sky to Cleanse you and Rid you of the Wrath (vengeance) of Satan and Linked your Hearts (braced you, to each other) and Fixed your footing (your sure-footedness; a firmer footing implies stronger gravitational forces so what effect did this passel of warriors (collection of nearby point sources) have on local Gravity?)

8:17 So, you did not kill them but God Killed them; and you did not throw what/if you threw but God Threw/Cast; and ‘informed the Believers among them’/’labled the Believers among them’/’wore them out by the Believers’/in a good ordeal (first-class scourge—He Whooped their butts); Indeed, God is All Hearing, All Knowing (Aware)

8:25 And fear (have a care) Sedition not infect those who are wrong/ed among you particularly and know that God is Severe in Punishment

8:42 That you in count/numbers (to the enemies/opposing force) the minimum (least, fewest) and they in count/numbers (to the enemies/opposing force) the maximal (superior, ) and the base installation (riders at the back/below) of you had just avoided not disputing/differing in/by the date (promised, appointment) and but for God's Judgment His Will was Done that they mistook (weakened) from your appearing greater in number from what is Evident and hailing from the neigborhood/district/vicinity Proof/Evidence/Testimony that Indeed God is All-Hearing, Omniscient.

{Aside: (whisper) If You have been following this blog since its inception You know that somehow I have managed to avoid Chapter 8 for the better part of 3 years, and for good reason. Knowing how You feel about my 'unique' interpretation of the Science in the Quran, I know You might be none too pleased with my take on History, especially if it has anything to do with Battles. The Battle alluded to here is a famous one, but I have a memory like a sieve when it comes to such things, so I hope my contemporary retrospective on it does not incentivize You to do something I will regret (again) or make me any fatter.}

The section appearing in Red Font in Sign 8:42, hailing from the neigborhood/district/vicinity Proof/Evidence/Testimony, is the interpretation of what took place at the 'lowest level'--under the Fold. Basically, the 'Forces on the Right' were outnumbered by the larger 'Forces on the Wrong' that struck fear in our heroes due to their superiority (not only in number, but it would appear they also had the higher ground and the better equipment/horses) and first saw the defending contingent as few in number, but at the last chance the 'guys from 'the 'hood'' contingent shows up (apparently they were quibbling about the date/time of when exactly the Battle was to take place--and they did not have what I am holding--an iPhone), but fortuitously they all resolved the dispute in time to make a good impression--good enough to weaken the other side by the mere appearance of their overwhelming numbers. Since, based on this narrative, the supporting forces from the vicinity did manage to converge on the battle field in what appeared to the opposing side in surprisingly large enough numbers (described as making the enemy perish/go missing/weaken or tire by the 'hulk', or what 'appeared to be a large looming object') as to make them lose any hope of being able to win the day.

(I added enough back links to "Micelles, Gravicells.." but the moral of this story has to do with the human body and Gravity interactions---and by extension any body and gravity, including such as may be found in the 'nethermost' regions which implies sub-atomic; attention is drawn to the location and timing of the lesser forces (at the bottom levels) vs the more evident superior forces (at the top), and then local or neighboring/vicinity effects of the emergent forces at the point they converge and seem to be much larger than is first apparent due to higher dimensional objects being 'folded' onto the common plane (ground); which seems to be related to tay-al-ard or space-time folding (higher dimensions must be involved for any of this to make sense, check out the lusona lesson below to see how this would apply).

The reason for thinking that Our Subjects were at what seems to be a 'disadvantage'--that being on the lower ground-- is the description of their having been 'al-rakib al-asfal' which means 'mounted on the bottom' as compared to the superior/maximal force which was also 'uppermost' or on higher ground. But, how, one might wonder did they suddenly appear to be such a vexing number if in fact those with the better view could clearly see them and surmise their evident or apparent number?

I wasn't there, but based on the History as rendered in Sign 8:42 by the carefully selected words and the proviso (it's postulated) that the Quran was intended to make sense or be useful 'fi qul zamaan wa makaan' (for all time and every place), I suspect something else was happening 'below the Fold'.

The word 'al-rakib' also means 'constructed', 'composed', 'superimposed', and 'framed' while 'al-asfal' along with meaning 'foot' or 'bottom' also means 'nethermost' or 'undermost', adjectives which imply 'layers' or 'tiers'. (If you haven't been following carefully, then take a few minutes to consider the mathematics and geometry of tilings or tesselations and symmetry , groups, and groups as sets--do that while I now go freshen up at the gym--because "God Loves Beauty" and I like to please God).
...to be continued
--Ok. I'm back!

Say what you want about Arabs but the simple fact of the matter is that they always know (at least back then) exactly where they are and what time it is---or they would be dead in the desert pretty darn quick (without GPS).

So how is it that these guys on this day of Battle were remiss about the time? They steered by the Sun during the day and the Stars/Planets at night for the simple reason that they had to in order to survive the aeolian landscape which they inhabited. Sands shifted and did not form reliable landmarks, and this begs the question: where were their heads at that they were confused about the appointed time to engage the enemy? {If you've visited the links above about math and tesselations, then a quick review about Escher's work Relativity and the subject of having 'companions' as a matter of explaining the nature of what we call Reality and the Multiverse might help fix the following concepts in your mind}.

Recall that Sign 8:11 mentions that these warriors were of "two states" of mind, the one being somnolent (described as deceptive or a cheat) and the other being 'braced' or 'connected/linked to each other' and sure-footed (gravitational increase due to linking) after having a rain come down. The 'sleepy' state is also described as being a Reassuring or Safety mechanism from God; but once the Rain comes down (recall the word 'ma' means water and it comes down from the Sky when it Rains) the warriors' 'sleepiness' is washed away and they feel consciously connected to each other which reinforces their resolve/sure-footedness (a relationship that is in 'sleep' mode (perhaps a ground or sub-ground state) becomes activated when the bodies become linked/connected to each other and augments the effect of gravity; Warning: the somnolent or sleepy state is a Safety mechanism, so proceed with Caution before waking or linking/superimposing anything up ) . It is no small coincidence that Sign 8:11 incorporates m.a and relates battle (competing/non-compatible) having to do with--of all things--Forces (does anyone now know why F=ma?)

Okay. I will spin my wheels here a little bit longer, because someone else has to know the answer since this isn't all about m.e (never was, never will be...). So, I will digress and mention that now you will be introduced to one possibile explanation to the age-old question: Where do Angels come from? (The short answer is from the top of the nautilus spiral).

Lusona are line drawings made by the Lunda-Tchokwe group of the Bantu, an example of which appears in the illustration on the right. Sona making integrates mathematics, art, and culture and traditionally were passed from one generation to the next during a 6 to 8 month period of male initiation rites. It is used here to help further demonstrate the concept behind our paratrooper's realignment in the above drawing and shed some light on an alternative explanation as to where those ('extra-dimensional') forces came from that are mentioned in Sign 8:42.

The lusona used in the example has translational, and rotational symmetry and provides a simple case for the purposes of illustration. More challenging examples can be tested using examples without rotational symmetry or more complicated group geometries like you would find in arabicized tilings or tesselations; in which case one would have to resort to more complex mathematics (probably need a good grasp of rotational matrices) rather than simple inspection. (Find more at Paulus Gerdes Ethnomath, Mirror Symmetries)

The first sequence of drawings breaks down the geometry of one lusona, noting that the proportion between the base diamond and those on the perimeter is 1/3. The 'key' objects are also proportional to the diamonds.

This next sequence illustrates that through translation and rotation symmetries the 'key' elements are assembled/connected to the diamond base (for lack of a better term, let's call it 'The Field"). And it is interesting to note for the purposes of this explanation that the 'key' elements are not directly connected to each other, so in a manner of speaking, they are not 'aware' of each other (another way of saying inattentive or 'sleepy'); and in this manner the original lusona is realized as shown at the upper right corner of the drawing on the left.

But Reality is seldom 2-dimensional and in order to visualize what is happening when space-time folds on itself as it would in cases of tay-al-ard or higher dimensional beings (like Angels) 'coming down' for a visit, the lusona is extended into 3-dimensions by the indicated spiral. An image of a nautilus is shown to help with the visualization that something is sprialing up out of the page or down into the page.

There have been previous discussions about the Golden Ratio (1.618) and it is often suggested that it is the expected ratio at which the nautilus shell expands, however, it has been reported that mathematician Clement Falbo measured a series of nautilus shells at San Francisco's California Academy of Sciences, and he found that while they were indeed logarithmic spirals (like the golden spiral), their ratios ranged from about 1.24 to 1.43, with an average ratio of about 1.33 to 1. And that 1/3 expansion is in keeping with the ratio of our lusona here.

And in keeping with sound mathematical practices, the lusona is 'superimposed' onto the image of the nautilus with the logarithmic spiral curve in blue and it coincides at 6 points. Depending on variations and accuracy it is expected that it may coincide at 7 points. The case for 8 points coinciding is not as readily deduced from this investigation. It is of further interest to note how the 'keys' just happen to frame the chambered region of the nautilus.

[You, with the super computer, can see what happens in analogous situations for even higher dimensions, say up to 7---oh, why stop there, try up to 11---and let's address the validity of 'string theory' once and for all---the mathematics have to include all of the operations appearing in green and summarized in Sign 8:9; this is not a homework assignment, it's strictly voluntary and while cases with symmetry are more manageable, it would be an interesting excercise to see what happens when dealing with deformations or non-symmetries]

stream-milky-way
In general, the Milky Way is regarded as the astral river and recently scientists have found a segment of the Milky Way where the stretches of star clusters stay close together, some clusters have enough mass to remain stuck together, and sometimes the clusters form stellar streams, which are river-like stretches of stars that orbit the galaxy.
“Astronomers have been looking at, and through, this new stream for a long time, as it covers most of the night sky, but only now realize it is there,” he explained in a press release.
“As soon as we investigated this particular group of stars in more detail, we knew that we had found what we were looking for: A coeval, stream-like structure, stretching for hundreds of parsecs across a third of the entire sky,” researcher Verena Fürnkranz said. “It was so thrilling to be part of a new discovery.”

-In the Chinese astrological myth of the weaver girl and the shepherd (or cowherd) where Vega (a name that derives from the النَّسْر الوَاقِع Arabic word al.nasr.al qaqi'3 for Falling Eagle) is represented by the weaver-girl and the shepherd by Altair (a word that derives from the Arabic word for Flyer and is located in the Eagle constellation Aquila), their tale of forbidden love is that they are united annually in clear weather by a bridge formed by a flock of magpies on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month over the celestial river (formed by the Milky Way) that separates them. (It is interesting to note that the magpie was once associated with one of the southern bird constellations, the toucan, but Tucana is the
more widely accepted reference and that magpies are related to crows and ravens, )and thus the constellation Corvus.
  If it rains they await their meeting
  until the following year and raindrops are said to be the tears shed by the weaver-girl longing for uniting with her love.

The Milky Way river is also referenced in the Chinese Zodiac having run a race to see which animals can cross the celestial river fastest and their place in the race determines the order of the Chinese Zodiac}.

After the preamble 20:1 through 20:8 addressing Muhammad pbuh, the stories of Moses and then Adam ensue, and then 20:98 through 20:135 are again directed at Muhammad and His message.

Surah 20:9-20:16
20:9 And has the story of Moses reached you?{This sign has abjad value for ط 9 and is about Moses}
20:10 When he saw fire, he said to his people (family), "Stay, I've seen fire that I bring you a plug from it or find guidance by the fire." {Here  بِقَبَسٍ b.qbs means a plug or socket, or a live connection which is the contemporary meaning, having once been understood as a burning brand.}
20:11 Upon reaching it We called, "O, Moses!"
20:12 "Indeed, I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley Tuwa." {The name of the valley طُوًى means pleat or fold, other meanings include: double, replicate, and double back, that seem to indicate Moses encountered tay-al-ard at this place and time.}
20:13 "I have chosen you, so listen to what is inpired (revealed)" {The word wahi يُوحَىٰ rooted in yu.whi means a state of vigilant inspiration, which is how God communicates with his people and how Revelation is handed down.}
20:14 "I Am. I Am Allah. There is no God but I. So worship/serve/follow Me and establish prayer for my Remembrance."
20:15 "The Hour is coming. I scheme to keep it hidden--so that each soul will be paid for its endeavors." {More than anything, this particular sign indicates that everything in God's sight has already happened and that we experience time and our life as a mechanism for justice to be carried out. This sign is 3ه.}
20:16 "So, do not let him who does not believe in it and follows his own desire stop you, lest you regress."{Here فَتَرْدَىٰ means to regress or fall back, which indicates not believing in the final Hour pre-empts advancement. And Moses is to continue to believe in it despite going back to a people that do not and he would encounter things being said and done not knowing or believing the Hour is neigh--a live test for Moses.}

Surah 20:17-20:25
20:17 "And what is that in your right hand, O, Moses?"
20:18 He said, "This is my staff (stick), I lean on it and herd my sheep with it, and have other uses for it."
20:19 He said, "Drop (throw) it, O Moses."
20:20 So he threw it, thereupon it became a snake moving. {While حَيَّةٌ تَسْعَىٰ can be understood to mean a moving snake, literally, it has other meaning, including 'alive + nine' and 'alive + seeking' which can also mean that the stick defracted into 9 and became animated.}
20:21 He said, "Take (Hold) it and don't be afraid, We will restore (return) it to its original condition." {سِيرَتَهَا الْأُولَىٰ literally means 'its first life' here rendered 'original condition.'}
20:22 "And enfold your hand to your side (wings) it will come out white without blemish, another sign."
20:23"That We may show you some of our Great Signs."
20:24 "Go to Pharaoh, he transgressed."
20:25 He said, "My Lord, expound my breast." { اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي ashrah.li.ssadri literally means 'slice open my chest' an idiomatic expression meaning to explain what is in one's heart or elucidate what is hidden in one's heart.That it also references Sadr, the Hen's Breast in Cygna is especially interesting.}

Surah 20:26-20:36

20:26 "And facilitate my mission for me.
20:27 And untie the knot from my tongue. {This sign number is 3 ط and appeals for God to remedy a condition Moses had, whether it was a speech impediment or he gets 'tongue tied' and is not given to oration is not clear.}
20:28 So they can understand my speech.
20:29 And appoint an advisor for me from my family.
20:30 Aaron, my brother.
20:31 Strengthen my visit with him. { أَزْرِي means visit, some interpret it as to simply give him strength.}
20:32 And have him share my mission.
20:33 That we may glorify you much.
20:34 And remember you much.
20:35 You are ever watchful of us."
20:36 He said, "I grant you your request, O Moses."

20:37-20:40

20:37 "And we had favored you another time.
20:38 When we inspired your mother with an inspiration.
20:39 'Cast him into a chest and cast him in the river, the river will wash him on the bank, there an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My Eye. {That the river Moses was cast into on Earth has a celestial counterpart in the Milky Way is also bolstered by the fact that Moses was a shepherd affiliated with the star Altair in the Chinese astrology myth of the weaver-girl and the shepherd (oxherd).
20:40 And your sister walking by said, 'Shall I lead you to someone who will care for him?' So we restored you to your mother that she may be content and not grieve. And you killed someone and we saved you from distress and tried you with a trial. And you stayed years with the people of Median (Madyan). The you came as ordained, O Moses." {That God had kept watch over Moses all these years means the conference or bridge between their worlds is established regularly, and if we gather that Moses is associated with Altair, then God would be reaching out from Vega across a bridge that is facilitated either by Corvus or Tucana (depending on whether we assume the relationship between the magpies of the Chinese lore with the related species or with one of the southern bird constellations once mentioned as magpie but reverted to toucan.)}

Surah 20:41-20:48

20:41 "And I Made you for myself.
20:42 Go, you and your brother with my signs, and don't forget my Remembrance.
20:43 Go to Pharaoh, indeed he transgressed.
20:44 And speak to him leniently (softly/mildly) perhaps he may remember or have fear."
20:45 They said, "Our Lord, indeed we fear he may persecute us or transgress (become violent)."
20:46 He said, "Fear not. I am with you both, I hear and I see.
20:47 So go to him and say, 'We are messengers from your Lord, so send with us B'Nai Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from you Lord. And peace be upon whoever follows the guidance.
20:48 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that punishment is for whoever denies and turns away.'"

Surah 20:49-20:56

20:49 He said, "Who is your Lord, O Moses?"
20:50 He said, "Our Lord is He Who created everything its shape and then guides it."
20:51 He (Pharaoh) said, "Then what of the former generations?" {qarn are centuries or years and oola means first, so Pharoah is asking what of the 'ancients' or first generations, as if to say 'whatever happened to them that they did not come back'.}
20:52 He (Moses) said, "Knowledge is with my Lord, in a Book. He neither errs nor forgets."
20:53 He who created the Earth for you as a cradle and traced (served/wired/cabled) for you traces (roadways) and sent down from the sky water (rain, ma'), thereby emerging variety of pairs from plants.
20:54 Eat and pasture your livestock (an3'am). Indeed, in that are signs for those who reason.
20:55 From it (the Earth) We Created you and into it We return you, and from it We will emerge you some other time. {Here tara ukhra is rendered 'some other time', literally 'sometime again.'}
20:56 And We certainly showed Pharoah all our Signs, but he denied and refused.

Surah 20:57- 20:63

20:57 He said, "Have you come to us to drive us out of our land with your magic, O Moses?
20:58 For we can surely bring you magic like it. So make between us and you, that we will not fail to keep and neither will you, at an agreed place."
20:59 He (Moses) said, "Your appointment is on the day of the festival when the people assemble (in the) morning." {Here dhuha is rendered as morning, but it may have been an exact time of day. And as far as ancient festivals and since the Milky Way (river) and Altair figure prominently in this Surah with the surmised Merciful God (20:5) coming from Vega if we follow the story of the Chinese lore, then the day of the festival may have fallen on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month of the Chinese calendar, Qixi that is still celebrated on August 7, 2019 as of this writing and August 25, 2020 upcoming year.}
20:60 So Pharaoh went away, put together his scheme, and then came (to Moses).
20:61 Moses said to them (the magicians), "Woe to you! Do not languish on Allah a lie for He will satisfy you with a punishment, He disappoints those who slander."
20:62 So they disputed their mission amongst themselves and kept their conversation private.
20:63 They said, "These are indeed two magicians who want to drive you out of your land with their magic and do away with your exemplary way."

Surah 20:64 - 20:70
20:64 "So gather your scheme, and come in line. And he succeeded today who overcomes."
20:65 They said, "O Moses, either you throw or we will be the first to throw."
20:66 He said, "Rather, you throw." Then suddenly their ropes and staffs seemed to him by their magic to move (in a seeking/writhing fashion, again the word tas3'a also meaning 9).
20:67 And he sensed within himself fear (apprehension), did Moses.
20:68 We said, "Fear not! Indeed, you are the superior. {a3'la literally means higher, that is to say Moses had the upper hand or was on higher ground than the magicians.}
20:69  And throw what is in your right hand, it will swallow up (stop/catch) what they have crafted. What they have crafted is but a trick of a magician, and the magician will not succeed wherever he is."
20:70 So the magicians fell down prostrate. They said, "We believe in the Lord of Aaron and Moses!"

Surah 20:71-20:74

20:71 He (Pharaoh) said, "You believe in him before I gave you permission?! Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic. So I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will crucify you on trunks of palm trees, and you will surely know which of us is more severe in punishment and more enduring."
20:72 They said, "We will not prefer you to the proofs that have come to us, and Him who created us. So issue whatever judgment you wish to issue. You can only rule in this lowly life.
20:73 We have believed in our Lord, so that He may forgive us our sins, and the magic you have compelled us to practice. Allah is Better, and more Lasting."
20:74 Whoever comes to his Lord guilty, for him is Hell, where he neither dies nor lives.

Surah 20:75-20:80

20:75 But whoever comes to Him a believer, having worked righteousness—these will have the highest ranks.
20:76 The Gardens of Perpetuity, beneath which rivers flow, dwelling therein forever. That is the reward for him who purifies himself.
20:77 And We inspired Moses: "Travel by night with My servants, and strike for them a dry path across the sea, not fearing being overtaken, nor worrying."
20:78 Pharaoh pursued them with his troops, but the sea overwhelmed them, and completely engulfed them.
20:79 Pharaoh misled his people, and did not guide them.
20:80 O B'Nai Israel! We have delivered you from your enemy, and promised you by the right side of the Mount, and sent down to you manna and quails.

Surah 20:81 - 20:86
20:81Eat of the good things We have provided for you, but do not be excessive therein, lest My wrath descends upon you. He upon whom My wrath descends has fallen.
20:82 And I am Forgiving towards him who repents, believes, acts righteously, and then remains guided.
20:83 "And what made you rush ahead of your people, O Moses?"
20:84 He said, "They are following in my footsteps; and I hurried on to You, my Lord, that you may be pleased."
20:85 He said, "We have tested your people in your absence, and the Samarian misled them."
20:86 So Moses returned to his people, angry and disappointed. He said, "O my people, did your Lord not promise you a good promise? Was the time too long for you? Or did you want wrath from your Lord to descend upon you, so you broke your promise to me?"

Surah 20:87 - 20:92

20:87 They said, "We did not break our promise to you by our choice, but we were made to carry loads of the people's ornaments, and we cast them in. That was what the Samarian suggested."
20:88 So he produced for them a calf—a mere body which lowed. And they said, "This is your god, and the god of Moses, but he has forgotten."{Apparently, the Sumerian was under the impression that God was originating in Taurus, the place of the Golden Cattle.}
20:89 Did they not see that it cannot return a word to them, and has no power to harm them or benefit them?
20:90 Aaron had said to them before, "O my people, you are being tested by this. And your Lord is the Merciful, so follow me, and obey my command."
20:91 They said, "We will not give up our devotion to it, until Moses returns to us."
20:92 He said, "O Aaron, what prevented you, when you saw them going astray...

Surah 20:93 -20:97

20:93 From following me? Did you disobey my command?"
20:94 He said, "Son of my mother, do not seize me by my beard or my head. I feared you would say, `You have caused division among the B'Nai Israel, and did not regard my word.'"
20:95  He said, "What do you have to say, O Samarian?"
20:96 He said, "I saw what they did not see, so I grasped a handful from the Messenger's traces, and I flung it away. Thus my soul prompted me." {That the Samari could see what was not obvious to others may mean that he gleaned some of the Unseen from the world of the Jinn, and he acted on it by having said his 'soul prompted him' to take some athar أَثَرِ from Moses, here rendered as traces, but also mean 'effects' or 'remnant,' and the Samari may have been given to practice the dark arts or magic without really understanding what he was doing. That Moses was communing with God may have had him contact what we call Dark Matter and Dark Energy since God is God of All and what we perceive of matter is only 4% of the known universe, the majority being what we call dark matter and dark energy, the Samari may have taken it upon himself to experiment with it without having any real understanding but comprehending that something in the nature of Moses had changed that he took it upon himself to collect some remnant from him or a trace of his being to exact his magic-->Dhul Qrnain, are you listening?-->they got me to trust this computer and it turns out the entire post about you and Gog and Magog and your alchemy has gone missing and I have no other backup!}
20:97 He said, "Begone! Your lot in this life is to say, 'Touch Not.' And you have an appointment that you will not miss. Now look at your god that you remained devoted to—we will burn it up, and then blow it away into the sea, as powder." {لامساس rendered here 'Touch Not' also means 'no contact' or 'no prejudice.'}

Surah 20:98 - 20:105

20:98 Surely your god is Allah, the One besides whom there is no other god. He comprehends everything in knowledge.
20:99 Thus We narrate to you reports of times gone by; and We have given you a message from Our Presence.
20:100 Whoever turns away from it will carry on the Day of Resurrection a burden.
20:101 Abiding therein forever. And wretched is their burden on the Day of Resurrection.
20:102 On the Day when the Trumpet is blown—We will gather the sinners on that Day, blue.{الصُّورِ is invariable rendered as the 'Trumpet' but the word 'soor' literally means pictures or configuration, but at any rate the understanding is a sound is to be heard and there are conspiracy theories about a tone coming from Moscow and while that may be the case given contemporary technology, there is a sound that emanates on Earth from a divine source and needless to say, it should not be tampered with and used to mislead people, and of course those who are hearing impaired or use hearing aides can turn them off and get the message in some other way as in other passages in the Quran there is reference to 'they speak to us with their hands.' As for the mention of the color blue, it is said that upon making the Ascension without assistance the sinners would not do well and the rarified air would make them oxygen deprived and likewise make their skin turn blue.}
20:103 Murmuring among themselves: "You have lingered only for ten (days)."
20:104 We are fully aware of what they say, when the most exemplary of them in conduct will say, "You have lingered only a day."
20:105 And they ask you about the mountains. Say, "My Lord will crumble them utterly."

Surah 20:106 -20:112
20:106 And leave them desolate waste.
20:107 You will see in them neither crookedness, nor deviation."
20:108 On that Day, they will follow the caller, without any deviation. Voices will be hushed before the Merciful, and you will hear nothing but murmur.
20:109 On that Day, intercession will not avail, except for him permitted by the Merciful, and whose words He has approved.
20:110 He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot comprehend Him in their knowledge.
20:111 Faces will be humbled before the Living, the Eternal. Whoever carries injustice will despair.
20:112 But whoever has done righteous deeds, while being a believer—will fear neither injustice, nor grievance.

Surah 20:113-20:119

20:113 Thus We have revealed it an Arabic Quran, and We have diversified the warnings in it, that perhaps they would become righteous, or it may produce a lesson for them. {This passage speaks to the multifaceted nature of the Quran and just why it is so enduring.}
20:114 Exalted is Allah, the True King. Do not be hasty with the Quran before its inspiration to you is concluded, and say, "My Lord, increase me in knowledge."
20:115 And We covenanted with Adam before, but he forgot, and We found in him no resolve. {That God had covenanted with Adam previous to Moses reinforces the universal message that is the Quran, that having found Adam wavering in his resolve in an earlier Creation, God had then chosen Moses in a subsequent Creation. As mentioned in 20:41 above, Moses was made by God, much like Adam was in the first place.}
20:116 And when We said to the angels, "Bow down to Adam." They bowed down, except for Iblis; he refused. {Iblis is Satan's name, and that he refuses to bow when commanded speaks to the fact that Iblis is not by nature an Angel, as Angels do as God Commands.}
20:117 We said, "O Adam, this is an enemy to you and to your wife. So do not let him make you leave the Garden, for then you will suffer. {الْجَنَّةِ al.jennati is here rendered 'the Garden.'
20:118 In it you will never go hungry, nor be naked.
20:119 Nor will you be thirsty in it, nor will you swelter."

Surah 20:120- 20:125

20:120 But Satan whispered to him. He said, "O Adam, shall I show you the Tree of Immortality, and a kingdom that never decays?"
20:121 And so they ate from it; whereupon their bodies became visible to them, and they started covering themselves with the leaves of the Garden. Thus Adam disobeyed his Lord, and fell. {سوءاتهما here rendered 'their bodies' also means 'their misfortune' became obvious to them.}
20:122 But then his Lord recalled him, and pardoned him, and guided him.{That Adam was eventually forgiven is testament to God's qualities Ar.Rahman Ar.Rahim}
20:123 He said, "Go down from it, altogether; some of you enemies of some others. But whenever guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance, will not go astray, nor suffer. {That as part of the forgiveness, Adam was still to be reduced from a superior state of that being in the Garden to a baser state on Earth, with a promise from God that His Guidance is sure to follow and we should be ready to heed it and once again be guided aright.}
20:124 But whoever turns away from My Reminder, for him is a confined life. And We will raise him on the Day of Resurrection blind."
20:125 He will say, "My Lord, why did You raise me blind, though I was seeing?" {This may not be a physical blindness but a form of ghasha (veil) where senses are curtailed from being fully realized or awakened in an individual.}

Surah 20:126-20:130

20:126 He will say, "Just as Our revelations came to you, and you forgot them, today you will be forgotten."
20:127 Thus We recompense him who transgresses and does not believe in the revelations of his Lord. The punishment of the Hereafter is more severe, and more lasting.
20:128 Is it not instructive to them, how many generations before them We destroyed, in whose settlements they walk? Surely in that are signs for people of understanding.
20:129 Were it not for a Word that issued from your Lord, the inevitable would have happened, but there is an appointed term. {This gives insight to the temporal nature of our existence, that had it not been for a spoken Word from God having issued a priori, matters would be decided right there and then, but there would be no benefit in doing so without being given time to understand the nature of what is being decided.}
20:130 So bear patiently what they say, and celebrate the praises of your Lord before the rising of the Sun, and before its setting. And during the hours of the night glorify Him, and at the borders of the day, that you may be satisfied. {This is especially important advise to anyone who finds themselves caught behind the veil and privy to a wider field of experience that opens up to people of understanding, it is vital and animated and does 'speak' to us, but the message is multifold and does not necessarily apply to the individual who happens to overhear it as there are other beings in our environment that respond to the Voice of God and God Creates with His 'Words' and we may find ourselves caught up in the cross-talk--so unless you find yourself being addressed individually, it is best to stay quiet and listen and not take it personally.}

Surah 20:131-20:135

20:131 And do not extend your glance towards what We have given some classes of them to enjoy—the splendor of the life of this world—that We may test them thereby. Your Lord's provision is better, and more lasting.
20:132 And exhort your people to pray, and patiently adhere to it. We ask of you no sustenance, but it is We who sustain you. The good ending is that for righteousness.
20:133 And they say, "Why does he not bring us a miracle from his Lord?" Were they not given enough miracles in the former scriptures?
20:134 Had We destroyed them with a punishment before him, they would have said, "Our Lord, if only You had sent us a messenger, we would have followed Your revelations before we were humiliated and disgraced."
20:135 Say, "Everybody is waiting, so wait. You will know who the people of the straight path are, and who is rightly-guided.
