The Fine Structure Constant

The fine structure constant, α ~ 1/137 is a dimensionless fundamental physical constant that surfaces in both Mechanistic and Anthropic considerations.

Typically expressed as a ratio it relates various interactions between the elementary charge, Planck's constant, the speed of light in a vacuum, the electrostatic constant, permititvity or permeability in free space (the Coulomb or magnetic constant, respectively).

The Anthropic Principle holds that were the value of the fine structure constant much different life itself would not exist, since there would be no distinction between stable matter and 'ether' ('nothingness', 'the void/vacuum').

Invariance of domain is a theorem in topology about homeomorphic subsets of Euclidean space Rⁿ. It states:

If U is an open subset of Rⁿ and f : U → Rⁿ is an injective continuous map, then V = f(U) is open and f is a homeomorphism between U and V.

The theorem and its proof are due to L.E.J. Brouwer, published in 1912.^[1] The proof uses tools of algebraic topology, notably the Brouwer fixed point theorem.

The conclusion of the Invariance of Domain  theorem can equivalently be formulated as: "f is an open map".

Normally, to check that f is a homeomorphism, one would have to verify that both f and its inverse function f ^-1 are continuous; the theorem says that if the domain is an open subset of Rⁿ and the image is also in Rⁿ, then continuity of f ^-1 is automatic. Furthermore, the theorem says that if two subsets U and V of Rⁿ are homeomorphic, and U is open, then V must be open as well. It is of crucial importance that both domain and range of f are contained in Euclidean space of the same dimension. Consider for instance the map f : (0,1) → R² with f(t) = (t,0). This map is injective and continuous, the domain is an open subset of R, but the image is not open in R².

A more extreme example is g : (-1.1,1) → R² with g(t) = (t²-1, t³-t) because here g is injective and continuous but does not even yield a homeomorphism onto its image.

The theorem is also not generally true in infinite dimensions. Consider for instance the Banach space l^∞ of all bounded real sequences. Define f : l^∞ → l^∞ as the shift f(x₁,x₂,...) = (0,x₁, x₂,...). Then f is injective and continuous, the domain is open in l^∞, but the image is not.

Consequences

An important consequence of the domain invariance theorem is that Rⁿ cannot be homeomorphic to R^m if m ≠ n. Indeed, no non-empty open subset of Rⁿ can be homeomorphic to any open subset of R^m in this case. Quantum mechanics describes real atoms, and hence all matter, as packets of sine waves. 

Everything from the cosmic microwave background (the featureless Big Bang) primordial sine waves spontaneously emerged, ripples in the density of matter and energy to form stars, galaxies, Mikey D' French Fries.

The Key Words  آمَنُواْ and  آمَنتُم give the following sense to the passage: from the general meaning of belief/reliable/straight==(Will establish;explicit; upright; column j;  from

مستقيم, صريح, قويم, عمودي, طبيعي, موثوق

essentially if this is referring to an electronic signal, Sign 2:137 pertains to establishing an explicit, upright==rectified signal of the imaginary 'j' column (portion of the transmission)

and from alternate meaning 'steady'

given in Ar. 'muwatq'==means 'fixed', 'regular', 'stable', 'firm', 'reliable'

Notes:   In broad strokes what Sign 2:137 is alluding to, as far as separating the real from the imaginary part of an electronic signal (note j lines up (the phase) in a column)  (for other applications see Prismatic), is that Had the People given Previous Scripture believed in the Divine Messages the Way He (The Prophet(s)) had come to believe they would have found the Straight Way (Guided --To Heaven/God/Up without a Spaceship?) but they reverted and found themselves in schism (torn/separated/disunited); And the assurance is God Suffices Whomever the Message is Accepted By Since God Is All Hearing, All Knowing (The Ultimate Witness)

But because those given Scripture previously failed to follow it, or 'reverted', 'turned back' they now find themselves in 'schism' == شِقَاقٍ == shiqaq=== meaning; disunity/schism/separated

For the purpose of what is considered here as the reciprocal of 137 being proximate to the fine structure constant, Sign 2:137 mentions the reason why the  'real' and the 'imaginary' are separated for those who do (or may be do not) heed sage advice, in this instance given by Holy Scripture. And the remedy is given that the 'direct' approach for 'guidance' onto the 'straight' path would be in coming to 'believe' in the Message(s) as the Prophets had come to believe in the 'past'.

In terms of the physics Sign 2:137 is clearly referring to what delineates [establishes a Barrier or 'The Wall'] between what we would consider the Real (physical) from the Virtual (imaginary,ether), and that seems to be the distinction the fine structure constant is assumed to be making --At least that sounds like the point leading physicists are trying to point out about  the fine structure constant?~!

The number 2 is an interesting multiplier given that some published studies provide that if α in free space is given as first introduced by Sommerfeld (see equation above),  in the spacetime of a domain wall it is given by α(spacetime domain wall)

Surah 3 Al'3imran (Jesus' Family Name)

قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ سُنَنٌ فَسِيرُواْ فِي الأَرْضِ فَانْظُرُواْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذَّبِينَ (3:137) 

3:137 There passed before you generations (ages), so travel (course) through (in/on/about) the Earth and see (observe/watch) how/what became of the outcome/consequence of the deniers (those who lie/mislead/falsify the truth).

Sign 3:137 is interpreted in the classical sense above, but my daughter just reminded me not every conversation has to be so 'heavy' (---you don't wanna know in exact reference to what). So, since we are all pretending to be good around here, let's just say there is more to learn than not to tell a lie.

Well, I can pass judgment about how I have seen every single last one of you behave not only illogically but down right Unreasonably when you are in 'the gap' (interstitial Gaussian White Noise) aka 'indeterminate state' (squishy zone), but I don't because I let slide the things I see of your (that means all o' ewes!) fuzzy behavior. And rather than rush to judgment, choose to think of it as simply watching a 'personified thinking process' (not the person themself) and that the final outcome (action) has not yet come to the fore (indeterminate state)--allowing that each of us can run through our paces while trying to arrive at the best conclusion (course of action)--more benefit-of-the-doubt than any of you is willing to give me. (Key Y I Pi, here?)}

According to our purpose here the attempt is to reconcile certain keywords in Sign 3:137 alluding to signal processing (which is very limited + having lost some memory+ being out of school over 40 years), and the understanding is that it may be referring to other things, but since the treatment here has to do with separating the real from the imaginary, (let's say Amplitude from Phase) and the fine structure constant, on the physical plane it makes sense that it could have something to do with electricity or communication, but this in no way rules out the duals of the network to model similar behavior in analogous mechanical, thermal or fluid systems.

(Keywords: 'passing before you' _like you are watching it on a screen_; prior to 'acceptance' (taking it for granted or further processing); a jagged, toothed, 'generation'_like a triangular or saw-toothed electronically 'generated' signal); pan so as to separate it-- like sifting for gold, and scan both vertically & horizontally (you think of some such way other than an oscilloscope/I am not an electrical engineer); And slow it down to a 'walk'_ so the implication, again, is something moving very fast like at the speed of light (electricity) that has to be slowed down in order for us to see it (some type of instrument, I still think oscilloscope); while it is in the ground? Let’s say it means what I think it may, the inference is you have come across a jagged signal (triangular or saw-toothed), before accepting it as such pan across it vertically and horizontally to separate it (i.e., set up a relationship between two of the values and graph them to give a slope of 45 degrees--in other words, find the 'information angle'); like panning for gold, by slowing it down to a ‘walk’  by grounding in a similar fashion as when one walks (something like grounding one contact at a time, and the inductive impedence fully discharged at 'midstance' or both contacts ground) and watch/look/observe how it is shaped/sawa the tail end? of it as a logical consequence /the outcome of improving/forming (like pulse shaping) the distortion or what's distorting the tail so that you can now see 'branching.' (Look, Ma--no resources, no staff, no budget, not even a work bench, and borrowing WiFi time from Starbux---how's this for fly-by-the-seat of the pants/skirt engineering)!

Dual Networks--Electrical (Signal Processing) vs. Mechanical (Walking)

The dual system of a mechanical ‘walk’ modeled by an electric signal would be expected to have 60% efficiency, and with one end ‘ground’ at a time (since walking means one foot in contact with the ground at a time and a period with both feet in contact with the ground at midstance), the ‘pace’ or the ratio of the ‘step’/avg is <=50% so that the ‘distortion’ in the ‘tail’ end of the signal can be ‘sawa’ = lit. levels; makes, forms, describes, shapes, squares, planes out, organizes, categorizes, arranges, ranks…) st the signal is level, square, shaped, otherwise described/formed...and we see some kind of ‘branching’; and if current (I) is taken as the dual/analog for the mechanical ‘walk’ then the current through the inductor (L) may be taken as akin to the velocity of mass, and in a walk the height of the Center of Mass is at a maximum at midstance (two ‘feet’ on the ground &  at max height velocity =0) which would imply that the current (I) through the inductor would have dissipated to 0? Let's say it is an electric signal (choose your network dual--biological, arithmetic, mechanical, etc.), the inference is that it is 'discrete' (not analog) and 'steady state'==steadfast, reliable, then reverts or becomes distorted==loses fidelity, then becomes 'steady state' then loses fidelity and then the distortion (or infidelity) and then increases or doubles or if the distortion is the greater of the two states (steady state vs. distortion), then God (let's say Creator/Controller/driver) will not 'free' (transmit) the signal (not emit or regulate) and/or it will not convert from ac to dc or dc to ac and will not channel/guide/steer/conduct (a wave guide or fiber optic may behave this way) along or in the path/way/direction/shape...4/137 may be a frequency ratio? The point that bears emphasis is that the distortion is increased or becomes greater than the steady discrete signal after switching back twice, the description is that it is ss then reverts then ss then reverts and thereafter the distortion is double or the greater of the two conditions.

وَكَذَلِكَ زَيَّنَ لِكَثِيرٍ مِّنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ قَتْلَ أَوْلاَدِهِمْ

6:137 And such is the guise/pitfall of/for most of the disbelievers (deniers, pagans, those who join partners with God) killing their children (is made fair-seeming to them by those whom they falsely join as partners with God);
those 'partners' (they falsely ascribe to God) do not return them (their children), (var. their heathenism, idolatry does not respond to them, or return them);
and obscures from them their religion (the right way/path);
And had God Willed they would not do it (wrongfully kill their children);
So, leave them alone in their inventions (var. let them be and do not speak out against what they think they see, or what they devise).

...that's a lot of heavy, so, to keep with the premise of this blog (considering You Know exactly what You put me through because of what they do to their own children...)

BTW, that this particular Sign is in Chapter 6 (Cattle) and based on previous posts has obvious connections with genetics, should anyone be inclined to consider the 'anthropomorphic' dual of this particular 'network.'

زَيَّنَ zain, a verb meaning to 'make pretty' and which explicitly connotes: to arrange, prune, trim, suspend, hang up, display (or put up on a wall), necessitate, ban, order, rank, simulate/design/pattern; to trick/decoy/make fall into a trap, take the place of in a trap, hide under a false appearance, disguise;  figure, consider, determine, calculate, tally, cipher, reason, imagine, and , قام بسلسلة حركات  qam yasalsalat hhrkt  a series of movements/drive/actuate/induce); to pipe, transfer via pipe (like a conduit or waveguide)
{and for those following the biological angle, the word salsala (salat) for series, basket, cell and    حركات  hharkt  to stir/agitate/whet/induce/basket, refer to The Secret of Min}

مُشْرِكِ mushriki, classically means to partner or associate, give a share of something and throughout the Quran it typically means those who associate partners or others with God, meaning heathens, pagans, idolators, infidel, polytheist,and all the words we're used to hearing. The root sh.r.k primarily means 'decoy/snare/pitfall/decoy/entangle/trick (see zayn above)'

And for our purposes here, 'killing children' has to do with zero-ing out off-shoots, or those signals, that are a product of their previous 'antecedents' or  'parents'. (see reference to 'the first (previous/prior) 2 antecedents' in Sign 26:137 below). We are trying to 'trim' the signal and not 'kill' anybody, because we wouldn't want to hurt anybody's feelings.


Surah 7 Al-A3Raf (The Heights)


وَأَوْرَثْنَا الْقَوْمَ الَّذِينَ كَانُواْ يُسْتَضْعَفُونَ مَشَارِقَ الأَرْضِ وَمَغَارِبَهَا
 الَّتِي بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا
 وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ الْحُسْنَى عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَآئِيلَ بِمَا صَبَرُواْ 
وَدَمَّرْنَا مَا كَانَ يَصْنَعُ فِرْعَوْنُ وَقَوْمُهُ
 وَمَا كَانُواْ يَعْرِشُونَ(7:137 
7:137 And We Made heirs those who were powerless in the East of the Earth and its West, which We had Blessed; and fulfilled God's Words for Betterment (Reform/Beauty/Improvement) which He Gave to the Children of Israel (B'Nai Israel) for what they endured; and buried all that Pharoah and his community created, and that which they built/erected/enthroned.

إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا خُلُقُ الْأَوَّلِينَ 26:137

26:137 Indeed (Truly), this is but the creation/conceptualization/fabrication/yarn/'nil'/'zero' of the first pair?/predecessors?/antecedents  

Without all the Double-Speak, I think Sign 26:137 is basically saying 'It's your Parents' fault.'

Surah 37 As.Saffat (The Ranks, Those Ranged In Order)

37:137   وَإِنَّكُمْ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْهِم مُّصْبِحِينَ 
37:137 And indeed (Truly) you pass by them (by-pass them) upon (their) waking (rising/sun rise/'starting-up'/in the aftermath immediately following an event)
