It can be argued that the Earth is flat as far as its being expansive, that does not preclude the obvious that the Earth is an orb; even before the satellite imagery and the Earthrise image taken from the Moon, this fact was arrived at just by considering that the Oceans were not draining off its edges. Any statement made along the lines that the Earth is flat has not so much to do with its geometry but rather an explanation of some other effect or observed phenomenon, such as wave propagation over the Earth’s surface—that not only includes Earth’s terrain but also its oceans and atmosphere.

Radio waves are electromagnetic radiation in the range xx-xx (xx km- xx m); a wide spectrum that covers what we commonly refer to as LF, ULF, AM, FM, VHF, UHF and so on. Radio waves travel via several modes over the Earth; their predominant path primarily dictated by their wavelength. For example, longer wavelengths travel for the most part via ground conduction and shorter ones throughout the layers of the atmosphere.

For those waves that propagate primarily via the troposhphere, mountainous regions and rolling terrain between the transmitter and receiver can effectively degrade the signal; such that a relatively flat path, over land or sea, becomes necessary between the transmitter and receiver for ideal tropospheric ducting.
And in the case of Earth’s atmosphere, weather--including such factors as the Sun’s activity which can create a barrier to proper wave propagation since it effects ionization in the atmosphere-- needs to be surmounted in order for an electromagnetic signal to get through effectively. So any reference to the Earth being flat in this context refers to the barriers for these types of signals becoming apparently lowered or flattened. Under ideal conditions signals can range for thousands of miles across the globe.
One example of the flatness alluded to is yesterday’s total solar eclipse that occurred over India and Asia and is said to have been the longest one of the century. While everyone was looking up or hiding in, those of us listening were treated to fine fidelity over our otherwise static-y car radios for the few minutes this was taking place. In California this translated into my being able to drive out to Malibu in the evening without losing my preset stations as would normally happen at any other time; and a good thing too, since I got stuck in traffic.

After you finish with what you are doing, have had some nourishment and a little rest, you might like to read James Rogers' PhD, Our Keys to a Golden Future, Peace, Abundance, Fulfillment, Joy.
This self-published opus (Mar. 2008, ISBN 978-1-4347-0862-4) was adequate reading with a couple of points of interest, however, it was catalogued under Humanities, History, making the subject matter a bit misleading. The author does admit it was published in a rush and without a final edit, which begs the question, What's the hurry? Had it been indexed as fiction, I may have enjoyed it more.

Excerpts from Our Keys to a Golden Future...:

' The lesson for us is 'Don't blame the Sphinx, or God, or Queen Elizabeth, the Pope, or even the Man in the Moonscape.' When we stop blaming other people for something we do ourselves, love will be let out of prison. (The author's broad-stroke presumption being we all share the issues he has with love).

Of course, all of the above is metaphorical despite the embedded truth. (Note to self--has not yet mastered the use of metaphor).
Reality is a bit harsher. (Yes, when you are deliberately poisoned then have people try to white-wash it, and then say you did it to yourself, Reality Sucks Lemons!)The prison of love is not built of stone, bricks, steel bars, it is built of bioelectric grids in the human brain. (Again, here the author is professing we share his stilted love issues and builds a case to somehow justify tampering with the brain's 'bioelectric grid'). Now and then love is let out of prison on 'work release' and we get glimpses (I must needs to interject---those of us knowing where our Love/Heart is at had no need for a 'work release' since to many of us it was already a labor of Love). But, as I say, only now and then.' (p 3) (Funny, I still see those Waxie Time trucks everywhere and over-built steel cans of 'air freshener' with metered nozzles--indicating this 'only now and then' cosmic event is still happing more often than not--don't you think?)
Then the author goes on to describe an interaction between space Cadet JPLTRML (rough translation 'Hill of Sand', or better yet Jet Propulsion Labs Training Mojave/Las Vegas (Fort Irwin?) and his/her mission to go down to 3-dimensional Earth; an interesting dialogue but not as sensitively handled as Gordon Egan's The Real Game.

This detour into JPLTRML's assignment is followed promptly with a rather invigorating chapter aptly titled Speculative Pre-History wherein a hairy gibbon by the name Evi is rudely launched out of a tree in a painful fit of a seizure from a cosmic (comic?) event taking place 250,000 miles away that manages to spew particles into a compromised ozone layer plunging the unwelcomed beam into her head.

The effect being:

'....some neurons probably died...billions of neurons..scrambled, severing synapses by the million and making new ones by the billion.

From that moment on, Evi was different from the other(s)...' and takes her other gibbon friend Adamie aside, shows him a few things, and they have kids together.

The author elucidates us further;

'Whether the cosmic shock had fried some neurons or 'jump started' new modules may never be known. Almost certainly, Evi had a headache for a few hours as her discombobulated neurons formed and reformed strategic alliances, all according to neurological programming provided by biology for such emergencies.'
And then comes the topper---the author's ominous warning and thrown gauntlet: 'Now that you have been warned, what are you going to do?'

This thinly guised cosmic event about Evi (who BTW is not all that hairy, has never been known to sleep in a tree except with a hammock) that triggered Evi's headache (that has lasted more that 14 years thus far and not 'The almost certainly few hours') espoused by James Rogers PhD, actually took place while she was at work, in a building sealed tighter than Fort Knox with automatically dispensing 'air fresheners' carefully formulated with known asphyxiants and neurotoxic chemicals. She had the misfortune of making the connection between what was in the can and why everyone was getting sick.

She, having earned one of the best undergraduate degrees she could muster on a full scholarship and attempting to do some public good while raising her young, beautiful family (none of whom are all that hairy or related to any primates) was sensitized to this ambiance and with deliberate and malicious intent on the part of all those involved in orchestrating this cosmic/comic event (the they); she was made to succumb to it. First, by her employer that refused to move her out of the building as they had done for all the other sensitized co-workers, and then by her treating physician's refusal to grant her a medical leave of absence in order to avoid the toxic environment without going AWOL until the toxic spill was remedied. There were of course supporting actors in this scheme of things like the other doctors who were not really doctors but posers (one MD comes to mind, who is licensed in CA but only has a mailbox and no one has seen her or knows anything about her at the clinic she has presumably been working for over 14 years), and others who have a knack for re-writing her medical history or magically making her medical records go missing altogether. After about a dozen years of giving them the benefit of the doubt and trying to believe it was all an unfortunate accident she finally had to face the fact that they sadistically set her up for all this punishment.

And they did not stop at poisoning her then refusing her treatment. They had to discredit her, marginalize her, OD her, institutionalize her, deprive her children of their mother during their formative years, stress out her husband and make him doubt her, alienate her (and she is convinced they abused her body when she was unconscious and can not account for time lost while transiting from Harbor UCLA to UCLA Medical Center), and then stuck her with the bill for that ambulance ride. And this is how they treat Our good will.

Why couldn't she just quit? Somehow, her young children were convinced they needed food to eat and shoes on their feet and her spouse refused to accept widowerhood.

Clearly, James Rogers PhD has kept up with the subject matter here at A Page In The Life but just doesn't sound authentic. In fact, he may not really exist.

And did she even get a 'work release' to regroup, restore--recover? No such animal--because her employer refused to acknowledge any neurological damage had been done to her (so much for the 'brain power grid' discourse). Instead she has been forced to continue working just to keep her medical benefit so that she can continue to treat for damage that was only expected to last for a couple of hours because they--the 'event planners'-- thought they were dealing with monkey brains like their own and not what once was a genuine human's brain.



But, don't feel too bad for Evi; while her neurons were not adept at making new alliances, it appears that she herself did.

The Thief In The Night

Last night at about 11:45 pm someone sauntered up to my husband's car that was parked in our driveway, blithely opened the door without checking if any other neighborhood car doors were unlocked, searched every compartment and made off with his cell phone.



This someone made sure to slam the car door very loudly so as to attract as much attention as possible and then made off very fast; so fast that a nearby patrol car chased them down and appeared to pull them over since the sirens only went on for a short burst.



I called the police department today to see whether the culprit was indeed aprehended and the cell phone turned in as evidence, only to have the officer inform me that no cell phones were confiscated from the night before and that he was sorry this happened to us and to come down to the station and file a report.



The cell phone was over three years old; a model that none of the kids thought was cool enough to use and was a hand-me-down to my husband when one of them got a better one for a birthday present. So, neither my husband nor myself felt it was worth the effort to file a report; especially since the thief didn't take anything else from the vehicle.

There has been something on my mind since oh about 1997 and that is an item that had also been 'borrowed' from me at the time. While over the years the contents within it have been returned and I was able to find an exact copy to replace the item that went 'missing' I couldn't dismiss not wanting it back. But, now that I know who my 'friends' are I find that I must request that it be returned to me since it had sentimental value and I hope these 'charmers' have not mangled it too badly---feel free to keep the cell phone, but it would only be considerate to return the SIM card too.

Has anyone tried Coma therapy for Jani?--a 6 year old schizophrenic with psychosis so severe that massive doses of '(antipsychotic) medications seem to skip over her'.
If you can't part with her for a while try it in three-day increments.

Her Cats and Rats are probably how this 6 year old is communicating that she is having difficulty reconciling her high intelligence with her sensual (sense-u-all) side. It would be unkind to continue with adult medications that are probably doing more harm than good and certainly stay away from stuff like electro-shock therapy, that would be just plain cruel and stupid.

And we all know that you can't fix stupid.

If her psychosis is as severe as described in the Los Angeles Times article Jani's At The Mercy Of Her Mind, her 'brain' is probably racing along faster than the speed of light and can only stand to benefit from a restful induced sleep and welcome holiday from the drug interactions that are probably ravaging her developing mind.

Some undefined while back some unidentified One, asked what the Zero song lyrics mean.
Apparently 'You're a Zero' is meaningless to all those Ones out there.

The human  body is essentially an organic electrochemical system. 

And as such it would be expected to have, and as it turns out, does have an electromagnetic resonance frequency.

For the Human brain, brain waves range according to the following frequencies:

Alpha wave-- (8-12 Hz)
Delta wave – (0.1–4 Hz)
Theta wave – (4–7 Hz)
Mu wave – (8–13 Hz)
Beta wave – (12–30 Hz)
Gamma wave – (25–100 Hz)



And it is speculated that in other parts of the body they range as follow:

Spinal Column --(10-12 Hz)
Chest Wall-- (50-100 Hz)
Feet (Standing with knees flexed vs. Rigid posture)-- (2 -20 Hz)

So, conceivably, an articulating Human antenna (that's why all the antenna jokes).

And if some brilliant Entity wanted to mess with the natural order of things and Enhance the Human (for lack of a better description), these frequency ranges may be modified to achieve unexpected or by God's Will Miraculous Outcomes.

It is commonly known that the Sky has a natural frequency and in counterpoint so does the Earth, by way of a geomagnetic frequency radiation.

A person walking around with their feet on the ground and their head in air (especially, the Sky) is making contact with both the Sky and the Earth. And generally, it is not of any great consequence and taken for granted that they can walk around, eating, playing, working, and at the end of a day, sleeping.

That is until they 'short circuit' due to some clever manipulation, or frequency matching, or 'enhancement' that would tune the body's natural frequencies to effectively 'connect' or 'resonate' with the Sky-to-Earth open circuit.

In essence, Zero out, that individual and their once-taken-for-granted oblivious erstwhile life.

Taken out of context it is difficult to say exactly what Chief Big Thunder meant by this, but in keeping with the Multiverse theme, he is just as likely to have been alluding to planting bodies as seeds. In the case of bodies, he is telling us that the Earth will return the dead; in the case for seedlings, his message is that the Earth produces what we cultivate and what we consume of it becomes part of us (see, finally a circle, I heard you calling for one and here it is Mr. or Ms. 0.866025404; and have a slice of pi while you're browsing)

There are compelling reasons why revelation is often dispensed in multi-faceted sound bites; the savings in paper and ink alone is one simple consideration faced with how much it would take to have to sit down and spell it all out until the recipient reaches their final moment of clarity (and No! Deliberately poisoning someone is still not an option, all you ‘Where Have You Been Lord Randall, My Son?’ fans!)

Lately, I’ve needed to come up with examples, so in order not to tax my simple mind I have picked a readily accessible ‘for instance’ and leave it to you, dear reader, to challenge yourself with finding better ones. The injunction to avoid eating pork is in every Judeo-Christian-Muslim scripture and is not only a matter of taste.

On the surface you might think what follows is a lame attempt to make you part with that ham and cheese sandwich; but that’s just your first impression and you would be well served to keep an open mind. You don’t have to do anything, but ask yourself ‘Is it right to inflict my own poor judgment on my children?’ Can’t we just stop at having already polluted their Earth, Sky and Bodies and launched them into certain astronomical debt for the rest of their existence--without the benefit of even a good education to help them get themselves out of this mess?

Mayhaps the angst that caused all this was what Chief Many Horses (Navajo) foretold;

” … I will prepare the way for my children, and their children. The Great Spirit has shown me - a day will come when they will outrun the ‘white man’ (read, not necessarily some Caucasian-but any Oppressor) in his own shoes."

I think the Chief gave the oppressor too much credit, not realizing the kids needn’t bother to even strap on their shoes since they can do it with only their flip-flops on.

'What do you have against pigs?' you wonder. Well, nothing—Jesus found them very useful. But the fact remains, even today, while reportedly less than 1% of all slaughter pigs are infected with trichinosis parasite, this still carries a significant risk since it represents about 40 million potential meal exposures each year in the United States. (The pork industry need not get all up in arms about this; people still are gonna wanna eat pork and for those who don’t there is always chicken).

And while it may be true that less than 150 human cases of trichinosis are reported annually, less than 1% of the cases are clinically diagnosed. By some estimates 10 to 15 million people in the United States have been infected with trichinosis and about 1.5 million Americans carry the parasite; it is further estimated that there are between 150,000 and 300,000 new infections occurring annually.

Pigs are not native to America, having been brought over by ‘New World’ explorers as early precursors to ‘meals on wheels.’ But that is understandable, since many things were brought over including Africans as slaves to work plantations.

It is widely known that pigs will eat just about anything; I am hard pressed to think of anything they won’t eat. And the first dozen or so pigs that made it to these shores were the progenitors of all the domestic pigs that go to market today.

Until recently what has not been as widely known, (probably due to its having besmirched our Nation’s history), is that African-American slaves brought here to work died by the thousands. There are indications that the “mortality rate of black children on the South Carolina and Georgia coastal rice plantations was astonishingly high – nearly 90% of all children died before they reached the age of 16 years. Even on more interior cotton plantations it is likely that nearly one out of every three slave children died before adulthood. Death was certainly a way of life for African-American slaves and they had ample opportunities to make the trip from slave settlement to cemetery for their friends and family.”

Careful deliberation would make one think that if the above findings are true, slave owners had no time for anything else but to make or purchase coffins to bury their dead slaves, but “Very few planter diaries recount the events surrounding slave burials.”

There is a slave song lyric that goes “Graveyard aught to know me” and the author ventures to guess that it may be an allusion to the many trips slaves took to the graveyard to bury their dead. While admitting this is only a guess on her part, the alternative meaning is all too horrific but must be presented.

Given that slaves were not thought of as even being fit to eat the food given to the pigs, were discouraged any forms of worship, and the high cost of coffins--is the reason for this lyrical lament that the singer knew he was not likely to ultimately get to know the graveyard at all because there was a more sinister yet efficacious way to get rid of his body? Is this where the saying “Feed him to the pigs” comes from?

What are we to conclude now that we know where pigs come from, what historically they have been given to eat, and that you reap what you sow and you are what you eat? How does this speak to the attributes of God that include 'Restraint In Judgment' tempered by 'Mercy' that make the many think He is MIA or something, when a modicum of Reflection tells us He is 'Ever Present'?

Is that you gasping at this simple-minded thoughfulness or your ham and cheese sandwich?

The flight in does include a pass over the Ganges so it would be a grave oversight not to mention Hinduism and its interesting parallels to Judeo-Christian-Muslim traditions. There are obvious similarities between the final reincarnation or Avatar of Vishnu as Lord Kalki (Kalkin) mentioned in the sacred Purana texts and the 'Return of the King' in Revelations and a number of passages in the Old Testament and Quran about horsemen and 'riders'.

Lord Kalki is often depicted riding or walking with his horse and is said to descend in order to restore dharma (the system of law) and cleanse the Earth of evil. So far, according to Hindus, Vishnu has made 9 descents as various Avatars, and the last descent as Lord Kalki is expected, just as the 'Second Coming of the Christ.'

Clearly, Vedic literature describes various modes of transportation or vimanas that serve as vehicles for these types of descents or ascents. Since I have no knowledge of Sanskrit, and don't think I can pick up another language, I can't say for sure what exactly these texts are describing; but it would seem a worthwhile effort to independently explore these texts in light of our current understanding of UFO sightings.

Depending on the source there have been various interpretations pertaining to the nature of these riders and their mounts and the props they carry and what these elements portend. For instance, one rider ('horseman of the Apocolypse') may be carrying a Bow or a Sword or a Scroll/Book, seated on a horse of one color or another. The above representation is a good example of just how these chargers (or Coursers (the word may also mean 'Antiquities' but I prefer 'Ancients') as referred to in Surah 100) have been a subject open to wide interpretation; as above, the Rider is supposed to be weilding a Sword, but it may just as well be a Bow, or even a 'Triangle' UFO.

Ghafir (The Forgiving)
(وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ وَلِتَبْلُغُوا عَلَيْهَا حَاجَةً فِي صُدُورِكُمْ وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى الْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُونَ (40:80
(40:80) And there are (other) uses in them (referring to modes of transport and cattle) for you; that you may through them attain (carry out) to any need (what desires are) in your hearts; and on them and on { الْفُلْكِ } 'ships' are you borne (carried). After starting this post I hoped that I was not doing anything wrong and while I was reading Surah 55, I suddenly had a compulsion to count the number of occurrences for the refrain 'which of your God's favors can you deny' which happen to be 31 and subtract to get 24 and this pointed to 55:24. Using a free online Arabic-English dictionary (babylon.com) yielded the results stated above).

Al-A'la (The Maximal (Uppermost))

Al 'Imran (Jesus' Family--The House of 'Imran)

( يُصَوِّرُكُمْ means to picture or imagine; no doubt where the phrase 'in his own image' comes from misdirecting us into thinking somehow God looks like a person and acts like one, but the true value of this phrase is that we are what God imagines us to 'Be'--if there is a 'person' out there that can do that-- create something from nothing but their imagination--I would most certaintly love to meet them--otherwise, let's come to terms with our own humanity and be grateful we think we are here).

As-Sajdah (The Prostration)

(32:9) ثُمَّ سَوَّاهُ وَنَفَخَ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِهِ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ

(32:9) and then He delineates (‘sawa’ = lit. levels; makes, forms, describes, shapes, squares, planes out, organizes, categorizes, arranges, ranks…) him, and breathes into him of His spirit: and He endows you with hearing, and sight, and hearts (sensitivity; feelings; minds); seldom are you grateful.

(Parenthetically, if the abortion issue means anything to you, you may want to study the above passage to try and settle when a zygote is just a clump of cells and when does it become a living viable human fetus)

Al-Hashr (The Gathering)

(59:24) هُوَ اللَّهُ الْخَالِقُ الْبَارِئُ الْمُصَوِّرُ لَهُ الْأَسْمَاء الْحُسْنَى يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ

(59:24) He is God, the Creator, the Maker, the Depicter! His are the attributes (names) of perfection. All that is in the Heavens and Earth worship Him: for He is the Almighty, the Truly Wise!

Nahl (Bees)

(16:8) وَالْخَيْلَ وَالْبِغَالَ وَالْحَمِيرَ لِتَرْكَبُوهَا وَزِينَةً وَيَخْلُقُ مَا لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ

(16:8) And (He creates) horses, mules, and donkeys, for you to ride and for their beauty; and He creates things that as yet you have no knowledge. (Some of which you now call UFOs—any guesses as to who the riders are?)
Now to proffer a few words of comfort to those among us who have actually been instructed to shoot them down and are now having an ‘aha! moment’; no worries really, among the riders could be your mothers and by far they make for safe targets because they don’t generally shoot back and what child doesn’t secretly harbor the fantasy of shooting their mom? In fact, the need to shoot one’s Mom must be quite pervasive as it provides comic fodder for prime time TV; Family Guy chronicles baby Stewie’s fantasy to do in his mom Lois at least every other episode.

While someOne goes to great lengths to ensure you have mothers, we all know they are the last people their children ever listen to; and that's why I questioned why I should bother at all (Michael) because a couple of years of diaper duty would have been absolution enough for me.

Al A'raf (The Heights)

(7:198) وَإِن تَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى الْهُدَى لاَ يَسْمَعُواْ وَتَرَاهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَيْكَ وَهُمْ لاَ يُبْصِرُونَ

(7:198) and if you call them to guidance, they do not hear; and you may think they see you (pay attention to you) but they do not."

This last Sign is a tad troublesome since this particular convergence has been a difficult one. Understanding that the Ayat (Signs) can be understood on a multitude of levels, I think a practical explanation is called for at this time. First, like the others, Ayah (7:198) can be taken at face value and it might even seem a bit mundane; but please be cautioned that there is a deeper meaning.
The other day I was standing at the market service counter when a young couple came up to place their order. The young man stood close to the case so he could place his order and his companion took a couple of steps back in order to have a more panoramic view of what was on display in the deli case. A server called the next number and a patron whose number was called came over to the very spot that was right in front of the young man's companion; not only blocking her view and inserting herself between the couple, but seemed completely oblivious to the young woman now only about an inch behind her.

The young woman was so incensed at this patron's rudeness that she blurted out her frustration at being so completely insulted by what appeared to be such a total disregard for her 'space' and took a few steps away from the offender and around to my side; still muttering to herself how she can't understand how anyone can be so rude! The patron was in a state of absolute shock that this young lady was carrying on like that and the confusion registered in her eyes and the questioning look she shot at me, who happened to be observing this scene unfold.

I could tell it was not in the offended party's character that she was given to such a tirade, and it was painfully obvious to me that the patron clearly did not even see this young lady (tall as she was with very long, thick black hair--you would think no one could miss her) simply standing there when she cut in front of her. Despite my strong predilection to keep to myself I had to say something to explain to both of them what had just happened and I kept it in simple terms.

Patron: "What just happened?"
Me (as gently as possible): "She is upset that you just cut in front of her. She was standing right there."
Young Woman (still in a huff, embarrassed this is out of character for her): "How can anyone be so rude!"
Patron (still stunned, because she absolutely did not see her, but sincere): "I am sorry, I didn't see you standing there. I didn't mean to be rude."

The young lady collected herself and went back to the other side where her mate was standing, and the thoroughly bewildered patron moved away from them, having woken up to the fact that just moments before she was completely oblivious to someone whose physical stature actually dwarfed everyone else's in the vicinity.
