A long time ago, like during the Jurassic, I took a class with a Professor who could prove the Existence of God by applying, of all things, Thermodynamic Equations.

The First Law of Thermodynamics holds that there is Conservation of Energy; it can neither be Created nor Destroyed, only Converted from one form to another. The Second Law of Thermodynamics, while not violating the First Law, holds that Entropy always Increases, such that the amount of usable energy in a system dissipates over time. The Second Law is a unique law of physics in that it deals with Time and its Direction. The Third Law of Thermodynamics states that as a system approaches Absolute Zero the Entropy of the System approaches a well-defined Minimum (a Constant, but not Zero). {Absolute Zero, the thermodynamic null point, is the point at which atoms transmit no thermal energy, or are completely at rest and cannot get any colder. This is defined as 0 K, where K is the thermodynamic absolute temperature Kelvin scale.}

APageInTheLife deals with selected topics, but the main idea behind almost every post has to do with Language and Meaning (and of course, God), so it would not be surprising to find that Thermodynamics also drives or applies to Linguistics.

In a recent paper Nature, Evolution, Culture, Free will and Morals: A Thermodynamic Singularity, Charles H.M. Beck, Professor Emiretus Dept. of Psychology, University of Alberta- Edmonton, Canada writes:

"Human cultural activity in the form of artistic
expression and aesthetic appreciation may be viewed as manifestations
of the Second Law. The evolution of human
language provided a basis for the accumulation, storage and transmission
of information and is widely regarded as a key element in the
development of human culture.

The concept of the transformation of energy has been successfully
applied to linguistic communication. Art forms, encapsulated
universally in ritualized communal celebrations involving decoration,
storytelling, music, dance/drama performance, and feasting,
serve to increase the rate of energy transfer in human groups
compared to the group member working individually.

....To sum up, salient features of human culture
including language, artistic expression and appreciation,
spiritual experiences and life satisfaction may be seen as a manifestations of effective energy transformation."

What does this preamble about linguistics, thermodynamics, and God have to do with the subject of this post, Water, you might wonder?

It leads us to Question how we can be in any position to Say anything about God, when we don't even have a very good understanding about the most abundant substance found on Earth--Water (H20).
Since the late 1940's scientists, either through simulations or experiments, have noticed that bulk water, when supercooled below its melting temperature (TM) at about 235 K (below which it crystallizes), approaches a Thermodynamic Singularity (TS) at 228K. It is during its supercooled metastable state that the anomalies in water's thermodynamic properties become pronounced, showing a power law divergence toward the singular temperature 228 K.

Now, we don't have to cool water down that far to observe 'anomolous' behavior, since we are all familiar with its other 'anomalous property' of becoming less dense, not more, when it is cooled down to its solid form, ice. Water expands to occupy 9% more volume as ice, which is why ice floats on liquid water.

But what is remarkable at this critical triple point, 228 K, is that supercooled metastable water undergoes large structural fluctuations and fragile-to-strong dynamic cross-over (FST). The fragile-to-strong dynamic transition (FST) of bulk liquid water at about 228 K results from the structure change at the thermodynamic liquid-liquid phase transition from normal H2O to strongly tetrahedral H2O.

Seemingly, Sign 2:228 deals with family law in that it mentions divorcing women, while awaiting a divorce, are expected to يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنفُسِهِنَّ 'lie in wait' for 3 periods (3 menstrual cylces) prior to finalizing the divorce in the event that the woman may be carrying a viable pregnancy, in which case the couple should wait until the child is born and the pregancy should not be concealed just to get on with the divorce. If she decides she wants a reconciliation, it is expected that she and her husband work things out, but while both the man and the woman have the same rights in finalizing the divorce, the man is said to have "a precedent," in the matter; literally stated وَلِلرِّجَالِ عَلَيْهِنَّ دَرَجَةٌ as "a degree above her (the devorcee/not women in general)" (which brings us back to cooking, but not so fast).

But, if family issues are not a concern for the rest of us, Sign 2:228 is still germane to our experience here on Earth; because let's face it, not everything on Earth has to be about men and women and their relationships; there is a whole bunch of other stuff out there--like Water. And Sign 2:228, while on the surface is setting out procedures during divorce, is simultaneously propounding everything to do with metastable water and its supercooled anomolies at 228 K, by specifically mentioning مُطَلَّقَاتُ 'absolute', بِرَدِّ 'chillness/coldness/refrigeration,' ثَلاَثَةَ قُرُوَءٍ 'triple point/period', أَرْحَامِهِنَّ 'matrices' and a host of other terms connected with metastable H2O under investigation in confined spaces such as nano pores,* including that during certain simulations the number of successful molecular transfers for liquid-liquid equilibrium at this thermodynamic singularity (228 K) is about 2 N whereas it is at least 10 N or greater at higher temperatures for liquid-vapor equilibrium (N is the total number of molecules in the simulation; for liquid-vapor and liquid-liquid equilibrium in the cited reference, N was 850 and 1600, respectively).

With this approach, Sign 2:228 may be understood in a less anthropologic standpoint. For instance, the word مُطَلَّقَاتُ with a primary meaning 'divorcees' or 'females about to have a marriage annulled or get absolutely/completely seperated/detached/distanced/liberated/freed from an existing relationship/connection' may lead to the consideration that 'female' in engineering terms describes a part that has a recess, designed to receive a corresponding projecting part; and in botany the 'female' is the part of the flower that has carpels and no stamens, and produces seeds.


The words 'divorce' and 'absoluteness' are related in that the Latin 'absolutum' means 'loosened from' or 'seperated,' and this is an important connection to make since in mathematical logic the word مُطَلَّقَاتُ , in addition to meaning 'absolute', also means 'complete' such that what is being discussed is not 'partial absoluteness' in a mathematical sense. And while something is said to be absolute if it has the same truth value in each of some class of structures (or models; where structure consists of a set along with a collection of finitary functions and relations which are defined on it), the many meanings of the word مُطَلَّقَاتُ (mutliqat) also include: unbounded, unconditional and infinite. And it is the word 'infinite' which points to the special 'infinatiry" case usually found in "the logic proposed for quantum mechanics, which depending on the use of subspaces of Hilbert space as propositions, operations such as taking the intersection of subspaces are used," since in general this fails as a finitary operation.

Having described these 'divorcees' as 'recessed' particles (holes?) in this manner/matter, Sign 2:228 proscribes that they ' يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنفُسِهِنَّ ' (yatarbssna bianfusihin), which literally means 'sneak/lurk by/within themselves.' Taken in context, the meaning is clearly that they 'lie in waiting by themselves' or have no 'intercourse/contact/communication' for a 3-month period prior to 'divorcing'.

The root word 'tarbas' also means 'thrips' which is a very small insect, one of whose defining characteristics is that it is very small and likes to hide in confined spaces, making it very difficult to detect. So, this can also be understood as a defining characteristic of the subject here.

It is interesting to note that another meaning to the word yatarbas is 'ambush' which points to a property of a 'surprise attack' or 'trap unexpectedly' as well as to 'enmesh' or 'entangle.' That they 'yatarbassn bianfusihn' is reflexive, which means that they 'conceal themselves.'

So, moving right along, the alotted time for this type of 'furtive' behavior concerning 'divorcing women' is 3-menstrual cycles. For the non-anthropologic counterpart discussed here, it is to be '3-periods' or cycles. That menstruation is mentioned with the deliberate use of the word ' قُرُوَءٍ' (quruwatin) is intriguing since a 'period' not only pertains to 'time' and a 'cycle' or 'phase,' but menstruation is very much tied in with the 'lunar orbit'. This indicates that a physical entity is going around a center, much like the Moon orbits the Earth, experiencing regular displacement and not just that of it being a time cycle as would be expected in, say, a sine function.

Knowing that the Moon is strongly associated with tides, what's being described here is also related to tidal effects. Tides can be described very effectively using gravitational forces and friction, and tidal levels may be successfully forecast using chaos theory (local models).

and (to) the males... a 'degree' over/above to them(selves) {what many claim to say "and the men/males" is clearly annunciated as "and to the men/males", meaning that they are being proferred or given something by the 'female' dyad; and دَرَجَةٌ darjatan in the arithmatic context means 'coefficient' 'level/echelon' 'step', lit. 'a bump/kick up' etc., which seems to indicate that this activity leads to raising the 'male' a step/quantum up to the 'female' level that had been established when the matter under consideration 'restructured' or 'reformed'...} This begs the question, 'Is there a Mathematician in the House?'

And I'm almost certain the lesson is not lost on physicists working with condensed matter, since the male/female mentioned throughtout 2:228, while indexed to water's supercooled liquid-liquid equilibrium at 228k, behave like 'excitons' in other systems which at low temperature and low pressure have anticorellated entropy and specific volume fluctuations, like semiconductors SiO2 and GeO2, and other tetrahedrally-coordinated liquids.

In conclusion, the Attributes of the 'Most Dominant Force (Allah)' mentioned here are:

This pretty little Jingle does not always hold true that Boys are made of such Earthly things and Girls always so Refined, but the Irony lies in that its subtext flies completely under the Radar --about forming Macromolecules--of DNA, that is.

The word مِن (pronounced 'MIN') basically means Of or From, and while I promised I would no longer use the Quran to hone my culinary technique, it does appear that on more than one and Various Occassions You Beat me to it; Precisely and Pointedly as it Pertains to what is/was involved in 'Cooking Up' a Human in the First Place (Recall that Twilight Zone episode, 'To Serve Man'?) {Note: In the selected passages the مِن 'min' appears in different colors to highlight that the diacritical marks vary, indicating a change in pronunciation, but do not appear to change the meaning when reading in context. مِّنْ is pronounced 'MMan' and مِّنَ is pronounce 'MMana' and مِنَ is pronounced 'Mina'.}

What Follows is a Synopsis of the Process based on a cursory search of the Quran relating to the topic of RNA and DNA synthesis, since there are ongoing efforts to form nucleotides in the lab that have been met with limited success in forming some but not all of the sugar-base pairs; it would be interesting to see what, if anything, is being overlooked. The understanding is that it is no easy task to get the base to 'stick' to the sugar backbone of the macromolecule.

If one must go flying off the handle-- best to do so Parenthetically, I suppose. At any rate, here it is in slo-mo:

According to 15:26 it starts with صَلْصَالٍ pronounced salsalin, clay or grit. (Watch carefully as I turn humble clay into some sort of advanced engineering material--just for your amusement).
That the word صَلْصَالٍ (salsalin) incorporates both the name of the material and one of its qualities is quite profound when you stop to think that naturally occurring clay is composed primarily of fine-grained minerals, aka grit. Clay minerals are the most abundant materials in sedimentary basins. They are responsible for imparting plasticity to the clay which cause it to harden when fired or dried.

Plasticity describes the deformation of a material undergoing non-reversible changes of shape in response to applied forces, and in biology Phenotype plasticity describes the ability of an organism to change its phenotype in response to changes in the environment. The deformation or the change of an object's shape is called strain and the force causing it is called stress.

Water may also be trapped in the mineral crystals in variable amounts and the clay may also have other organic matter which does not contribute to the clay's plasticine quality. The most common clay minerals—like kaolinite, illite, chlorite, and smectite are typically found in mudstones.

So, now we know where the Water (الْمَاء, al-ma.a) comes from that God used in Creating Everything and mentioned in Sign 25:54 And He Is Who Created from/of the Water Human Being(s)... The Word bashrin, بَشَرًا, not only means Human Being but also Walking, 'Good News', and Epidermal. Epidermal refers to the outer layer of skin, but it may also mean a more generic outer layer that functions to contain any biological form. And then He Assigned His Creation a form and Proportioned it, in other words 'Made Man as He Imagined' him.

That the human was never meant to be solitary is stipulated in that as part of his formation, in addition to having been assigned a form, he was also assigned صِهْرً 'sihrun'; meaning, He Gave him Lineage/Pedigree/Descent/Parentage/Extraction/Kinship/Kin/Derivation and Marriage Ties. And it is due to the usage of the word 'sihrun' that it is acceptable to think that it is the DNA and/or RNA material being formed in this process since these macromolecules are responsible for passing on genetic information to future generations, in other words, heredity.

The word sihrun provides evidence that this molecular formation from the clay comprises the following activities, too: Smelting/Fuze/Melt/Cast/and Melt Down.

Sign 25:54 concludes with one of God's Attributes being 'Qadir', primarily meaning 'Mighty', but other definitions include include: Capable/Predestines/Measures/Determines/Rates/Accounts/Numbers/Quantifies...
Other physical qualities attributed to the 'starter' clay is that it is مَّسْنُونٍ 'masnoonin'--that it is 'aged' from those clays that are 'serrated/poined/jagged/toothed' at some level of inspection, either macroscopic or microscopic or both. And that it is treated by حَمَإٍ 'hamaa_in' (no mother-in-law jokes, please)-- in other words, 'heated' or 'annealed' under conditions of a steady regimen of 'feeding' it a 'steady intake or diet' of something under 'protected' or 'safeguarded' conditions. Other mechanics involved in this step are 'agitation', and the allusion to 'excitement' which may refer to the heightened activity at the molecular or atomic level.

In addition to heat and temperature and mechanically moving (like stirring, agitation), the word hamma_in also means ardor or passion which is an indication that there was a great deal of attention and care given in tending to this process.

If any of these steps sound familiar, they are very much in keeping with how a Sculptor creates Ceramics or Pottery works. But, an additional nuance arising from using the word salsaln is that there is also some type of resonance in that a 'sound' much like a Jingle/Clink/Clank, typically associated with metallic noise or the sound glass makes when it it struck, is also contributing to this process (that's why Tibetan Singing Bowls were mentioned earlier).

Also, the homophone derived by substituting the letter seen for the saad in 'salsalin' means 'chain/concatenate' , which appears to indicate that at a molecular level atoms are being strung together or 'added up' to form chains.

In 18:37 we get a clue to the age-old Riddle, 'What came first, the Chicken or the Egg?'

It specifies "First, مِن 'min' from/of تُرَابٍ turabin or Earth/Soil/Dust", basically, an echo of the 'clay' and then from/of نُّطْفَةٍ 'natfatin' (a drop of) Semen or Sperm. This implies that the genetic material is created first and "then He سَوَّاكَ رَجُلًا" 'sawa.ka rajula'--"then He made you a Man". The order is clearly given as first from dust, then sperm (genetic material) and only thereafter do you become equivalent/equal (t0) a Man (Human Being).

The word turabin is used here to further characterise the clay as 'dust'; meaning that it is associated with finer particles than other materials that are produced by the weathering of rocks or stones. Clays are distinguished from other fine-grained soils by differences in size and mineralogy, and typically clays are characterized as having the smaller particle size than silts or other deposits (on the order of about 2 microns or less).

Sign 16:4 seems to be making the Observation that the undeserved consequence of all this hard work in Creating Humans is, rather than their showing Gratitude, they become openly adversarial or Contentious. And 19:67 serves to Remind us that this Act of Creation was due to having met with God's Acceptance on a Prior Occassion or From Before or Right In Front of Him, and that Humans forget that without His Doing So, we were all like Nothing or Not Anything at All. Sign 36:77 reiterates the apparent disappointment almost word-for-word as Sign 16:4.

The word رَبَتْ (rabbat) in 22:5 means 'Tied' something together or 'Tamed' it and then He أَنبَتَتْ 'anbata' , which means 'Grew' or 'Brought About' from 'Every Pair' or 'Dual' (Dyad زَوْجٍ ) Beauty بَهِيجٍ (baheejin). The word baheej also means that what is Created with these Dyads is Unstressed Convivial, Lovely, Warm, Inviting; basically Everything Good.

Now, to Tie something together means to 'attach' or 'bind' or 'knot' or 'fasten' together the Dyad (or pair under consideration), and if related to the activity that preceded this with the clay-derived molecules, it becomes clear that the 'chain' macromolecules are being joined together, much like we would expect in DNA, as an adjunct to the crystal growth taking place from 'firing' the 'clay' and/or processing it by shaping, sintering, cooling it as one would when making Pottery. (A clue as to which of the two genders came first can be ascertained by inspection. Recall that 'those fired are the men' which indicates that it is during the 'firing' of the 'clay' step in the process that the y-chromosome is formed as opposed to another step associated with pottery making, such as forming or cooling).

Sign 23:12 reinforces the 'Inheritence' aspect of this Creation, a further allusion to DNA, in that سُلَالَةٍ 'sulalitin' means a Strain/Line/Descent/Race/Progeny/ Ancestry/Geneology/Stock/Offspring/Scions/Sprigs, etc., even Blood and Parentage.

And the noun 'sallay', a variant intonation of the word 'sulalitin' means 'Baskets' or a 'Group of Similar or Related Things.' A Basket can be taken explicitly to mean a type of 'Woven Container'. And the word 'Cells' (diminutive) like saying 'littel cells' is also found in the root of this word. The Basket سُلَالَةٍ is described as being made of/from the طِينٍ 'teen' or Clay/Mud.

Mud specifies that the Clay deposits used in building these macromolecules is associated with a watery/marine environment. Clay deposits may be formed in place or transported to locations other than where the weathering/aging process occurs and they are typically associated with very low energy depositional environments such as large lakes and marine deposits, which would be consistent with using the term 'mud'. {Note that both the terms Stress and Strain are mentioned in these Signs as having to do with forming something from the 'clay' which ties in rather nicely with the plastic quality of the clay}.
To the trained eye, that we are 'Created from Dust' is not News but, on finer inspection, Sign 23:12 is describing in Great Detail what the actual physical assembly of these macromolecules looks like.

Consider that Crystal structures are 'woven' or 'cross-hatched' cell assemblies on the 'atomic level' and that Pottery making itself causes certain types of clay minerals to assemble in these types of crystaline structures. Other things to keep in mind are that Crystal size, number, and shape are determined by factors such as impurity level, mixing regime, vessel design, and cooling profile. {Note that the Created phenotypes are formed in such a manner as to be Unstressed, such that the type of molecules and/or crystals being formed are made or assembled in such a way as to have little or no stress}.

At the Atomic level, Clay minerals are hydrous aluminium phyllosilicates, sometimes with variable amounts of iron, magnesium, alkali metals, alkaline earths and other cations. Clays are fundamentally built of tetrahedral sheets and octahedral sheets; examples of clays that would consist of one tetrahedral sheet and one octahedral sheet would be kaolinite and serpentine.
Time now for the Mystical Math (because I know You're Baiting me, but I figure Granma wants to hear me 'say' it). The significant relationship between tetrahedra and octahedra in 3-Dimensional space is that the stellated octahedron is the only stellation of the octahedron and it is the simplest of five regular polyhedral compounds. It can be considered as either a polyhedron compound (combination of polyhedra) or a stellation (a stellation of a polyhedron is formed by extending all its faces until they intersect again along new edges). As a compound, it is constructed by joining two tetrahedra (a tetrahedron and its dual (dyadic) tetrahedron). So, that was the description in Words, and here it is if we draw a Picture:



This particular geometry is interesting when viewed from a certain Perspective in that a very Familiar 2-dimensional Emblem or Symbol becomes Readily Apparent.





The applicability of this 'Star of David' or 'Abraham's Shield' to All of Humanity is inherent in All of Creation and is not simply meant to Identify just one Stratum of Humanity, like being Jewish. (As an aside, the earlier discussion regarding tesselations (tessera or using non-overlapping tiles to cover a field) in combination with stellations is contributing to the field of developing electro-optical invisibility cloaks. It would be interesting to see if tesselations of the stellated octohedron produce a viable invisibility cloak).

This Fact, that Underlies Everything, is brought to the fore in 55:14 when it is mentioned that the Human Being's Creation from/of salsalin=Clay/Grit (var. chain, concatenate) is كَالْفَخَّارِ k.alfukhar--meaning, 'similar or like unto Pottery' (pottery making/device). The roots associated with the word Pottery mean Honorary, Superior, Luxuriant with a secondary meaning of it being 'wry'= dry/sardonic.

The word wry, while implying some Irony is involved, Points to the manner in which these macromolecules are concatenated when deposited along with or in these 'baskets' or crystal structures, gives them their Distinctive shape or Geometry. Since 'wry' means 'out of shape' or 'twisted to one side', indicates the process of forming these macromolecules in situ with laying down the crystal structure from the clay dictates the 'twisted' shape of the Helix or Double Helix associated with DNA and RNA molecules.

The Helix (a spun string, a screw, a propeller, etc.) and Möbius strip are chiral 2-dimensional objects in 3-dimensional ambient space. Chirality is inherent in molecules built from clays having tetrahedral and octahedral sheets, especially when one stops to consider that the stellated octahedron is a combination of a tetrahedron and its self-dual (its reflection through the origin, or mirror-image). {A similar notion of chirality is considered in knot theory}.

While Sign 32:7 may not be adding new information pertaining to the formation or the building process of living things from clay, it is included here to make a final Point. Simply stated, it says God Perfected Everything He Created أَحْسَنَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ 'ahsana kuli shyin', and then He Started Creating Humans from the طِينٍ 'muddy clay/dust.

And Sign 30:20 states in No Uncertain Terms that "Of His Signs Is (Verily/Truly) He Created You of/from Dust (Earth/Soil) and Then If (this is a Qualifier--'A Big If') you Are Human Beings, then and only then, and for as long as you remain Human Beings, You Propagated or Are Ranging Widely!

I hope this last Sign settles in your Collective Mind any dissonant thoughts you may still have as to Who Exactly Is Flying Those Spaceships!

Building A Mystery

"Those in the know, Know;
...to everybody else it's just a stack of hay!"--My Mother

I know, I know, getting through A Page In The Life must seem like one must have their 'vorpal sword' ever at the ready, but there is more to language and meaning and interpretation here than synonyms, antonyms, and homonyms. A vorpal sword is a weapon used to slay the Jabberwocky and it surprised me that it recently made the Times Crossword puzzle a couple of days ago which brought to my attention another poem from Alice In Wonderland that was a spoof of the poem Speak Gently by American poet David Bates, the last two stanzas follow:

Speak gently! -- He who gave his life
To bend man's stubborn will,
When elements were in fierce strife,
Said to them, 'Peace, be still.'

' Speak gently! -- 't is a little thing
Dropped in the heart's deep well;
The good, the joy, which it may bring,
Eternity shall tell.

In some parts of the world, and I still think there are some parts of the world, the word 'Um', which can sound like 'Im' depending on one's accent, means 'Mother'. And if something has the attribute of being the 'mother of a thing' it means that it is the quintessence of the thing. Keeping this in mind the word 'im.possible' takes on a whole new meaning, and something that conveys no possibility whatsoever comes to mean 'the mother of all that is possible'---endless possibilities.
During the opening scene of The Bee Movie, Jerry Sienfeld's voiceover shares with the viewing audience that science says it is impossible for a bumblebee to fly based on the laws of aerodynamics, but the bee doesn't know that and it flies anyway. According to Wikipedia, this common misconception that bees "violate aerodynamic theory" traces its roots back to a 1934 French book Le Vol de Insectes by M. Magnan wherein he concluded that according to his application of equations for air resistance to the flight of the bumblebee, their flight could not be explained by fixed-wing calculations and that "One shouldn't be surprised that the results of the calculations don't square with reality".

But in fact this merely confirmed that bees do not engage in fixed-wing flight, and that their flight is explained by other mechanics, such as vortices and non-linear effects caused by the rotational rapid beating of bees' (and other insects' ) wings that are a vital source of lift. The vortices allow the bees to borrow energy from the swirls/vortices that form around their wings during flight.

It turns out that bees rotate their wings before starting the return stroke, and the wings are lifted by the eddies of air created on the downstroke and this high frequency oscillation of their wings means that many hundreds of vortices are shed every second to form symmetric vortex street patterns. Vortices inherently create drag and bees can recapture some of this energy and use it to improve speed and maneuverability.

Aerodynamics is simply a specialized study of general fluid dynamics, and on earth the most common fluids under flow are water and wind. Hydrodynamics explains water's action and the Aeolian processes describes wind's activity; more specifically, the winds' ability to shape the surface of the Earth and other planets. The wind erodes, transports, and deposits materials most effectively in arid environments such as deserts and in areas with sparse vegetation and a large supply of unconsolidated sediments. While water is a much more powerful eroding force than wind these types of aeolian landscapes are greatly influenced by the aeolian process and are ever changing and shifting with the wind; unless one can get the wind to 'be still'.

Wind blowing across the desert makes for shifting sand while wind blowing across a string makes music. The Aeolian harp is driven by the von Karman vortex street effect since the motion of the wind across a string causes periodic vortices downstream that cause the string to vibrate. The sounds from the Aeolian harp are random depending on how the wind blows.

In music theory, the Aeolian mode is the sixth mode of the major scale and has the formula 1, 2, ♭3, 4, 5, ♭6, ♭7; basically, five whole steps and two half steps. Led Zeppelin's Achilles Last Stand is arguably one of the finest contemporary examples of this classical music mode.

But our purpose here is not to harp on about aerodynamics, vortex streets, or aelonian music modes; eeeventually, as you may have come to expect, it all ties into what is really on my mind, and that is while many things may at first appear to be random there is no escaping that the apparent randomness may in fact be a ruse to disguise some very careful planning by an as yet Nameless One (let's call Him 'God'). {And Dear God, I know the fact that I am writing this means that I was forced into having to make a decision that Solomon himself could not adjudicate, but what the hay-- I will just keep on this track until I hear otherwise...}

قَالَ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَهَبْ لِي مُلْكًا لَّا يَنبَغِي لِأَحَدٍ مِّنْ بَعْدِي إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ 38:35
فَسَخَّرْنَا لَهُ الرِّيحَ تَجْرِي بِأَمْرِهِ رُخَاء حَيْثُ أَصَابَ 38:36

38:35 (Solomon) prayed: "My Lord, forgive me and grant me a Kingdom (Dominion) that will suit none other after me; for You are the Grantor of Bounties.
38:36 Consequently, We Subjected the Wind to flow gently at his (Solomon's) behest wherever he willed.

Controlling the Wind turns out to be quite a powerful force since with the proper guidance it can literally change the landscape; and the Quran depicts as much. Choosing to open with Chapters 25 and 42 and then follow with Chapters 47, 51, 56, 60 and 69 all in a row and then applying the method developed in an earlier post, A String, A Ring, A Modulos Thing, but proceeding by tens (decans) rather than singly, a similar table was established as the one for clock math in A String, A Ring, A Modulos Thing.

Surface charts and Line charts were drawn using Excel by choosing the parameters SModC, CModS, SModC/C and CModS/C in chapter order based on the decans in each chapter; 10, 20, 30..etc, depending on how many verses were in each of the selected chapters.

The data points used are the same for each chart, but the rotations for the first and third charts are x= 35 deg; y= 15 deg, z=0, perspective =5 deg; and for the second and fourth charts the rotations are x=140 deg; y= 15 deg, z=0 and perspective =15 deg.

Interpretation varies depending on the rendering, but the two surface charts resemble encampments and American Southwest landscapes (similar to the ones depicted in Eyvind Earle's lithographs) and the two line charts are remeniscent of buildings and pyramids, respectively.

And to make a long story short, this method was pursued for the first 20 chapters and the data was taken in sets of 19 until Something went Flying Off The Page.

A String, A Ring, A Modulus Thing

I worked Moses (pbuh) into AP History just so we can transition into this peregrination (did you guess Peregrine Falcon (a relative of the Eagle; stated to be the fastest animal on the planet in its hunting dive, the Stoop... )?*

Recall Moses has a penchant for meeting colorful characters (some of whom were mentioned earlier in Today Is Monday, Frieze Groups and Fish and Man and His Prime ), but the truly most colorful character he encountered was known as Al-Khidr (whose name literally translates to The EverGreen, because he was considered to be a fount of New Knowledge that leads to Growth/Development).

In Chapter 18 The Cave, Moses travels in search of a juncture 'where the two meet' and he inadvertently bypasses it when his travelling companion forgets to relate an experience he had when his 'fish' disappeared on him. Here we pick up the string whereby hangs the tale:

قَالَ ذَلِكَ مَا كُنَّا نَبْغِ فَارْتَدَّا عَلَى آثَارِهِمَا قَصَصًا 18:64 note: 64 mod 18 = 10
18:64 He (Moses) said, "That was specifically (precisely) the effect that we are looking for! So they retraced their path (followed back on both their footsteps; and variably--they both cringed at the implications)

18:77 So, they set off until they came upon a village of people whose people did not suffer to open their doors to host (welcome) them; and there was a wall about to gush (dart) and he (Khidr) set it (repaired it); (Moses) said, "Had you wished you would ask for recompense (or variably, 'you did not have to fix it, it would be their just wages (for such an unwelcoming township)')."
قَالَ هَذَا فِرَاقُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنِكَ سَأُنَبِّئُكَ بِتَأْوِيلِ مَا لَمْ تَسْتَطِع عَّلَيْهِ صَبْرًا 18:78
أَمَّا السَّفِينَةُ فَكَانَتْ لِمَسَاكِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ فِي الْبَحْرِ
18:78 (Khidr) said, "This is the parting between me and you (here is where we part company); so, I shall inform you the interpretation of what you could not suffer to be patient with; the ship belonged to poor (indigent) people who worked the sea (made their living fishing/shipping).
فَأَرَدتُّ أَنْ أَعِيبَهَا وَكَانَ وَرَاءهُم مَّلِكٌ يَأْخُذُ كُلَّ سَفِينَةٍ غَصْبًا 18:79
18:79 So, I wished to damage it (hide it with a defect) since a King was after them forcibly taking every ship/boat."
وَأَمَّا الْغُلَامُ فَكَانَ أَبَوَاهُ مُؤْمِنَيْنِ فَخَشِينَا أَن يُرْهِقَهُمَا طُغْيَانًا وَكُفْرًا 18:80
18:80 And the matter of the Boy, his parents are Believers and we feared he would exhaust (kill) them both in his tyrranical disbelief.
فَأَرَدْنَا أَن يُبْدِلَهُمَا رَبُّهُمَا خَيْرًا مِّنْهُ زَكَاةً وَأَقْرَبَ رُحْمًا 18:81
18:81 So, we wanted their Lord to switch him for one better than him, charitable and closer to Mercy.
18:82 وَأَمَّا الْجِدَارُ فَكَانَ لِغُلَامَيْنِ يَتِيمَيْنِ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ وَكَانَ تَحْتَهُ كَنزٌ لَّهُمَا وَكَانَ أَبُوهُمَا صَالِحًا
فَأَرَادَ رَبُّكَ أَنْ يَبْلُغَا أَشُدَّهُمَا وَيَسْتَخْرِجَا كَنزَهُمَا رَحْمَةً مِّن رَّبِّكَ
وَمَا فَعَلْتُهُ عَنْ أَمْرِي ذَلِكَ تَأْوِيلُ مَا لَمْ تَسْطِع عَّلَيْهِ صَبْرًا note: 82 mod 18 = 10,
18:82 And the matter of the wall; it belonged to orphans living in that (inhospitable) city and beneath it was buried a treasure that belonged to them; and their father was an Honest/Good man. Consequently, your Lord Wanted that they reach their full potential and reclaim their treasure/wealth; a Mercy from your Lord. And I only performed my Warrants (carried out the Order) because they were Illuminated with Patience (with Patience Shining on it (making them clear))."

Recall that the major story that runs through Chapter 18 is about the Cave Dwellers and that the theme in Chapter 18 has to do with Time Travel. If one were to follow this line of reasoning, then it is just as valid to assume that Moses's encounter with Khidr also relates an experience having to do with Time Travel.

Several elements regarding Moses's experience in this chapter confirm this. The first is his first companion's experience with how he saw their 'fish' take to the 'sea' in an 'astonishing/tunneling' manner when they were first near the 'junction' they saught, but he was remiss in telling Moses about it. On remembering to recount what happened to Moses, they decide to 'retrace' their 'footsteps'. It is interesting that the word 'ksasn' is used which means 'story', indicating that they retraced their path as one would recount a story 'word-for-word.'

The junction ('where the two 'seas' ('rivers/bodies of water) meet') that Moses was looking for must have had a profound or vital significance since in Sign 18:60 he established he would never stop looking for it no matter how many years, even if it takes Ages. On learning this, immediately the reader is given to understand that there is more to this point of conjuction than the meeting of two bodies of water, and it may be that Moses is talking about a juncture in the 'Rivers of Time.'

That Moses was looking for a Time conduit is further supported by his reaction when his buddy describes how their 'fish' got away (swarming or tunneling in an awsome manner) and in 18:64 Moses says, 'That's precisely the effect we are looking for!' Even more remarkable, is that the secondary meaning to Moses's exclamation is that he and his travelling companion 'cringed at the implications' of what this might mean.

It is not jumping to conclusions that Moses did in fact find this juncture and that is where he met al-Khidr. And it would not be overstepping any limits to assume that Moses's experience with al-Khidr happened outside of the Timescape in which he was born. Consider;

1. Moses met al-Khidr at a juncture with characteristic 'strange' effects.
2. al-Khidr is not a typical 'human' since something is inherently 'different' about his DNA and he has assimilated a great deal of Knowledge that took an inordinate amount of Patience to accrue (implies accumulation beyond a normal lifetime)
3. About half-way through their Journey al-Khidr reminds Moses that he promised not to vex him with any questions about what he was doing and that he had already forewarned him that he would not be able to bear seeing what he was doing; and Moses admits that he had indeed forgotten. (It appears there are inherent Memory problems with this type of experience, since Moses's original travel companion had also forgotten all about the juncture when they first chanced on it and did not remember to say anything about it until Moses asked some time later.)


4. And finally, the 'smoking gun' if you will, is that al-Khidr's actions, based on 'warrants' or 'orders' from 'Us', dealt with things that he knew in advance were about to happen and he took steps to prevent a negative Final Outcome.


5. That al-Khidr was himself travelling Back in Time is gleaned from his telling Moses at the end of their journey that he could not have done what he did had he not had Patience Shine on them (indicating he waited some time before all of these things had already played out to go 'back' and 'readdress' them). {Suggested Reading: By the way, if you like this particular story about Moses, a contemporary take on this type of experience was described to some effect in the 1996 British Television Series Neverwhere, later appearing as the novel Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman.}

Above was the pragmatic (sensible) analysis. For the metaphysical evidence behind Signs 18:64 through 18:82 consider;

1. The Actual Number of Signs from the time we pick up the tale that Moses intends to retrace his steps back to the conjunction and the time he parts company with Khidr is 19.
2. The Number 19 and its significance throughout the Quran is addressed in Surah 74 al-Muddathhir, especially as it relates to those Questioning the Authenticity of the Quran:

   74:29 An Oasis for Human Beings (reinforced here, that the subject is the Quran becoming a Vital Source (Oasis) for Human Beings)عَلَيْهَا تِسْعَةَ عَشَرَ 74:30

And none knows God's Forces (Soldiers) except He; and It (the Quran) is nothing but a Reminder *** for Human Beings. {This is as obvious a 'heads up' as any since in Principle, it cautions against using the Quran to Mislead or Misguide others...a shout out to the Illiterati among the madrasa crowd.}


4. Given the above reference to 19, it would appear this magic number is used to Authenticate the Quran. Pertaining to the topic here and the 19 Signs about Moses and his encounter with al-Khidr, it would be acceptable to think something in these Signs should Prove to be quite the Revelation. {Unfortunately, I Died before I can prove it and am not making any plans to go back just to readdress this since I never had any Qualms about Who Sourced the Quran--this calls for a stiff drink, but I don't know anybody here and would not like to drink alone.}

At any rate, the words can only take us so far. It becomes necessary to investigate the Mystical Math behind Moses and Mr. Green's meanderings (path, journey). {And then there is just so much I can do with Microsoft Excel, anyOne out there handy with an Oscilloscope and Computer Aided Design can probably see this Method to fruition...it would have been nice to participate jointly but they destroyed all my credibility on my way Up, which is just as well since I got my Ride anyhow.}



Without the benefit of a Supercomputer, or any of the talents or ancillary equipment required, I am relegated to stating the obvious:

1. (S Mod C) function yields a 0 at the 9th element; the median=the average=9 and the Unit (1) value occurs at the 10th element (Decan?); the 1st and the 19th elements equal 10.


2. (S Mod C)/C function yields repeating single digit, non-terminating decimal values at the Odd nth signs or elements; the 0 occurs at the 9th element; the 1st and 19th elements are equal 0.55555... (Moebius Strip (see Escher's Red Ants) or Ring?).


3. (S/C) for the 19 Sign cycle 64-82; the median and the average and the 10th element are all the same and equal 4.055555...; as expected, the 1st and 19th elements are equivalent (clockwise) since they are equal except for a Unitary gain from 3.55555....to 4.5555....


4. The DateTime function in the Excel spreadsheet for the (S/C) values indicate an event occured on day 3 at 1:20 PM to day 4 the same hour 1:20 PM (this probably varies with the software, but is a good indicator of relative times associated with events corresponding to Signs 18:64 through 18:82). The 9th element is the Midnight Hour after the initial event (which happens to be the average and median value of the DateTime (S/C) function).


5. Symmetry is produced when shifting the (S Mod C)/C function by 1/C (or 1/18 in this case) to move the odd nth series of repeating single-digit non-terminating decimal values back and forth (or up and down). The DateTime function yields a 0 (Zero) Day for this function regardless of the shifts; except that the negative value produced for the -1/18 shift was hand-cranked 1 hour 20 minutes (otherwise the value was indeterminate), and it may very well be that was wrong but assuming the cusp of a new year for Day 0, the event was written in as 12/31 the previous evening at 10:40 PM. It does, however, seem consistent with the agreement between the 9th and 18th element hours for the DateTime basic function and +1/18 shift (displaying the same times only 12 hours later).


6. The average rate of growth of the Spiral (Radar Plot) to 2 decimal places is 1.33, or about 1/3 expansion (refer to Lusona lesson below).

**Classical Interpretation of 74:26 is, "He will Fling him into Hell" but I don't see how the word s.aslyhu which has a root meaning Origin or Original has anything to do with Flinging or Casting something...and the word sqr may mean Hell, but I haven't come across it that way and think it alludes to a specific type of Flame, like a blue-flame or something extremely hot...maybe even a plasma...but that's just a guess. At this Level, is a Guess as good as a Go?
